if you feel it's expensive, you got to check the bill and ask what is it lo. some waitress really treat customer like water fish, they want customer to pay more then they ern. dont be victim la bro. :P

The best is to check the bill on the spot before paying.....but sometime upon paying the bill we are not that sober anymore.....hahahhahh!

Waiter see me also make sure the bill is accurate, in case I can't pay up, then they have to peform muai thai on an old man, very bad for their reputation....

Whats the best way to travel up to Danok from SG? The 12hr bus ride seems torturing. Flying direct budget up to Penang will incur another taxi cost to the border. Flying to bkk then domestic flight to HDY will burn a hole. What do the sg bros here normally go by?

Really depend on you.

The 12 hours ride shouldn't be torturing, in fact most coaches are very comfy. Sleep the journey thru is the best way to overcome the 12 hours.

Flying into Penang and hop on to DNK via mini-van that operate from COMTAR. The only catch is the taxi from airport to COMTAR. Taxi from Penang to/fro DNK is expensive.

Flying to BKK, then take another flight to HDY, is not for the budget minded ones. But this is certainly one of the best options. Leave SG aroung 10.30, and arrive HDY at about 3pm. Then take a minivan to DNK. Not really a good option, might as well stay BKK. So much more to offer.
