---Chapter 66---

When I finally got to baggage collection in Singapore, Carrie and her parents were already in the car park. Carrie gave me a call, telling me that she would be going straight home with me since her parents did not have plans for her that night. I smiled a little, knowing that I would get to spend whatever’s left of the weekend with Carrie.

She was waiting for me outside my new Gransport as I approached the car. I pressed gently on my keys to unlock the doors, allowing her to step into the white interior gingerly. Throwing my luggage into the boot, I stepped into the car and the powerful engines roared to life as I pressed the Start button. I quickly decided to head to Marina Barrage instead of home, so that we could enjoy the beautiful Sunday afternoon out in the sun. I lowered my top while we were still in the airport and we were greeted by the bright sunlight when we exited the car park.

At Carrie’s suggestion, we stopped by NTUC at downtown east to pick up some bread and vegetables so that we could have a mini picnic at Marina Barrage. We also wanted to purchase a kite as Carrie wanted to learn kite flying but we could not find it in NTUC. Still, the two of us were smiling and walking hand in hand as we walked back to the car, ready to enjoy the sunny afternoon together.

Parking my car a short distance away from Marina Barrage, we got the plastic bag of picnic food out of the car and walked towards the open patch of grass on the third floor. Carrie was wearing a white D&G dress and short heels from Givenchy which she took off when we found a good picnic spot and settled down. I caught a glimpse of red under her white dress as she sat down cross-legged and took out the bread. I washed the vegetables by the water cooler near the lift while she waited for me, bread in hand, ready to make the sandwich the moment I got back. I bent down to give her a kiss on her forehead before sitting down opposite her and passing her the vegetables.

She carefully placed two slices of lettuce on the sunshine white bread while I cut the tomatoes into small slices. We then tried to take the ham together and smiled as we each put a piece of ham onto the bread and she put it into her mouth for the first bite. While it was still in her mouth, I cheekily bent forward to bite the other end of the bread and I tried to take a larger bite so that our lips would touch. Sadly, that was not to be and all I managed to get was a small poke from her. This process of making the sandwich then eating it continued until we were both full.

Thirsty from the dry bread and salty ham, we went to the café on the second floor hoping to find a drink. We ordered two coke floats from the cheerful casher and chatted happily while waiting for our drink. The café was quite empty and we managed to get 2 seats near the window with a magnificent view of the bay below. The drink was under a mountain of froth and Carrie dived straight in, ignoring the black straw that was sticking out like a periscope. Her mouth was instantly coated with vanilla flavoured froth and I bent forward to lick it all from her lips. She then pushed my face into the froth and proceeded to do the same with me. I am sure that we attracted stares but neither of us could care less at that moment.

It has been my pleasure, writing this magnificent piece of writing that spanned 66 long chapters. I would like to thank everyone for reading this story and I hope that you liked it. I have decided to stop here because the story is too close to real time for me to properly write it but this story will never really end. There will always be an adventure after the next that I would write about. Be it one month or one year, I will come back to this story as and when I feel the need to. What will happen to Jaden and Carrie? Only time will tell.
