bro u are the best...envy you with all the lady luck..back to the 5k problem. like many bros here suggest..if 5k is not a problem to u...den i think should help...but instead of loaning...why not ask her to sell you a few of her stuff...i know it kinda some dumb...but take a sec to think bout it...loaning seem very risky...if really got caught up by the law...you will have a bad time...so why not u go to her house and see any few items that u like..and buy from her ( i.e mp3 player, dvd player) ..so even if she got caught up by the laws..u have nothing to worry bout cause u are just buying stuff from her...not loaning...thou might seem as a rip off..but i think is a safe way to protect oneself.

and even thou if u bought those stuff from her...and if she insist on repaying u back on installment...u can make it like..she is buying her own stuff back from u...instead of just giving u back the money...so every thing is like a shopping...and 1 more plus point...if u do her that favour of 5k..u will have free sex..lolx

Before I present the next chapter, I'd like to thank all those who have contributed by posting their replies and penning their thoughts, comments as well as opinions. It seems to me that there's a divided view on whether to provide the loan or not as most have cautioned that it'll most probably end up as a gift instead.

As this event had already taken place sometime last year, I was curious and thus wanted to gauge the reactions of those who had been following this thread.

Once again, my heartfelt thanks for keeping this thread alive and please feel welcome to post your thoughts, comments and opinions anytime. My thread is also your thread.....

Chapter 47 – ”Thank you for being a friend…..”

That loan request from Devi weighed heavily on my mind. “Should I? Or shouldn’t I?” I looked towards my inner self, hoping for some hints but my inner voice preferred to sit this one out, perhaps wanting me to learn something from this experience.

Money isn’t the main issue here. I mean $5,000 is quite a big amount by any standards. To me, it doesn’t really matter on whether one can afford to lend partially, or the full amount or not, but rather, the principle behind it. My main bugbear is that I don’t wish to be held to ransom by a masala tigress. What if I gave her the loan this time? There’s no telling that she’d not try again later, with another story, to boot. I somehow have a strange feeling that she’s not being thoroughly honest with me…..

“Hey Devi? Chan. You free to meet?” I called her after spending much time mulling over the issue and had come to a decision. “You willing to loan me the cash?” she asked excitedly, but also hesitantly. “Let’s talk when we meet. You working?” “Ya”, she replied, “Can we meet later tonight?” she then asked. Knowing that my wife will most likely be unhappy over another night outing again, I replied, “No. Not tonight. What about tomorrow morning? Or afternoon?” I asked. “In that case, what about early tomorrow morning, say 7.00?” she proposed. “No, that’s too early for me,” I answered. “Never mind la. If it’s so troublesome for you, then let’s meet when you can make it,” I added. “No! Please. Let’s meet tomorrow. I’ll call in to take urgent leave…..” she interrupted, sounding desperate. “Can we meet in the morning, say 9.00?” she asked. “Make it 10.00. At the same coffeeshop…..” I counter proposed.

She appeared sheepish on seeing me this time, not acting her usual self. “Want to order a drink?” I offered her. “No thanks…..” she shook her head and sat opposite me. “I’ve thought about it,” I started as she dared not to look at me, casting her eyes on the table. “Look, I’m not sure if you’re really being honest with me, since you started out by lying to me about your sis. And, being a policewoman, I trust that you should be fully aware of what you’re doing, especially the consequences, if what you’re up to is illegal…..” I paused after that, to observe her body language but she remained silent and sat very still, hands clasped and eyes looking down on the table. It was a totally different woman from the one who practically raped me just a few days ago – the one who kept calling herself “mama”. I felt like I was dealing with a Dr Jeykll and Ms Hyde type of character…..

“Although we’ve not known each other for long, and we’ve, ahem…..” I coughed and cleared my throat, finding it hard to say the word “fucked”, “Er, you know…..But anyway,” I cut short and pulled out a folded cheque from my shirt pocket and slid it across the table to her. “Here, take it. I hope that it’s really for what you said it’s for.” She looked at the cheque and slowly reached for it. Unfolding it, tears welled in her eyes as she glanced at it. “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Chan. You don’t know how much this means to me. I promise you that I’ll pay you back. Every single cent. I can’t say when but I’ll definitely pay you back…..” she sobbed as she reached for my hand and held it. "Be careful with it. It's a cash cheque" I advised her.

Uncomfortable with such teary situations, I pulled my hand away gently and said to her, “Don’t worry about that, ok? You take your time to pay me back. What’s important is that you clear what you need to clear and focus on your daughter and your job. You have to be both a mother and a father to Mala, you know that, right?” Wiping the tears away with her fingers, she nodded her head slightly. “So you have to be strong for her. Now, what’s going to happen to Mala if you do something stupid and get caught?” I continued to ask her. “Please don’t take me for a ride, ya. I may not be that accomadating again in future…..” She nodded and wiped away the tears that were rolling down her cheeks. The coffee shop assistant looked at me and silently shrugged his shoulders, curious and wanting to know what’s going on. I looked back and just shook my head, shooing him off.

“Thank you. Thank you for beig a friend,” was what Devi said to me as we got up and left the coffeeshop, each going our separate ways. “I’ll call you…..” she said as I got into my car.

Yes, I did lend Devi the money. All $5,000 of it. Not that I’m a millionaire, but the primary reason I did what I did was more at the thought of her daughter, Mala. I won’t be able to forgive myself if something were to happen to Devi and Mala would be left with her grandmother, knowing that I could’ve helped in a small way, but didn’t. At least my conscience now was clear, though I don’t expect the sum to be repaid anytime soon, or at all, for that matter.

“Ahem. Conscience? Clear?” my inner voice spoke to me as I sat in my car after that. “That was the most expensive blow job and screw that you’ve had in your life! $5,000 worth, $2,500 a piece…..” You know what? He’s right.....

bro Chan, kudos to you for helping her. i believe she lied in the first place bcos she dare not tell the truth as its always shameful to borrow money from someone she knows only recently.

but if she is really in need of the money to help her child n the household, even if she dont pay you back, you done a good deed. i would have done the same. if you can give for some good cause, money will flow back to you, as it has happened to me, helping friends who never returned but i am still doing OK.

just prepare to lose the money and if she returns, its a bonus and she will be indebted to you for a long time.
