Vietnam - HCM (Thread 3)

Hey Hurricane, Mutantchicken - a lot of the things you guys say makes a lot of sense, especially upon retrospection. When I think of it, my sharing-on-forum-habit dates back many years to when information on mongering destinations was sparse, as it was only the beginnings of when the internet started being used to exchange such information.

In those days, us guys would share whatever we found out and then would arrange to meet up and explore together. I made some great mongering friends who remains so up to today and we still do meet up to explore etc. But you’re right, these days, there ARE just too many leeches on all the boards and in fact, for the past few years, I’ve basically just refused to meet up with guys from the internet.

In fact, now when I think of it, I actually got so fed up with these idiots who only knew how to take advantage of others that I stopped arranging gatherings for friends and instead just turned all requests for meet up by newbies to a friend who I had encouraged to start up as an agent. And even just doing this – OMFG……Absolutely incredible… Ridiculous!! I actually had a guy complaining back to me for my recommendation to my friend over some idiotic reason!! I mean, the nerve!! From then onwards, I just tell whoever asks to just read up all the agent advertisements and decide for himself who to use.

Sad actually, that there is just too many plonkers on all the boards with all sorts of private nefarious agendas. Such is life, in this age of the internet!!

Seaj,

You have venture from CP thread to HCM thread.

Have yet to explore HCM myself for food, massage, sightseeing and companion.

I will always visit CA/CP alone for 7 to 9 days as I am a budget person.

Fancy KTV and pubs is definately not for me as I do not drink or sing

I staying low, reading the thread to understand better and looking forward to explore HCM soon enough

Yes as you can see my f** is NOT for the guide service but for compensation for the idiotic behaviour and comments i will be forced to deal with, its for the lost time i could otherwise be enjoying and lastly its for the purchase of headache tablets, one guy was so painful argueing about the smallest things that i suffered a sore throat just trying to explain that asking to suck the fingers of a cafe girl ISNT going to impress her..or buying a girl a 1 day pass to the gym for a girl that works 12hrs a day 7 days a week isnt going to help you get into her pants.

there is a noodle shop at tran cao van, off hai ba trung and petrolimex petrol station, sign board has a duck on it.

noodle is pure egg noodle, very Q, the pork or duck is so so but the main point is noodle.

Yeah, real shame what's happening in Chang Ping and Dongguan - paradise lost!

And yeah, am also trying to figure out where I should explore for my next place as MY usual mongering destination. So far, not much luck... perhaps coz I was too spoilt for too long by CP!! Sigh...!!

Feel for you! But at least you're smart enough to start charging!!

I can tell you some of the horror stories that I went through as I had been sort of the "Point Guy" for Chang Ping for too long!

Ridiculous and all just because I was too hospitable.

for samsters that are planning to come Hcmc recently,u might want to postpone ur trip to a further date bcos its rainy season now and basically has been raining for everyday.

if i am not wrong,this shop is very run down and beside it is a self run small scale cafe...this shop is supposed to be good for their mi vit tiem (braised duck noodle)...but i find it normal...still prefer the shop at Q.4
