This kind of scheme I had heard before from my friend. He was desperate enough to do it and now regret.

It used to be profitable, but not anymore now. The telcos has changed the terms to stopped these transactins as they do know.

Basically u sign a line and get a new in demand phone. U sell the phone to a dealer at a value lesser than discussed. U pay the telco for up to a yr before terminating the line. At most u pay 400plus to 500, no termination fees. The balance is your profit. However there is another direction my friend tell me. Dun pay bills and the telco automatically terminate ur line. Problem comes the next time u really want to sign a line. The telcos won't allow u as you are being blacklisted in their records. The dealers get away smiling with $ while u are stuck with a problem unless u dun want to have a phone ever.

So if anyone tells u to do such things, think carefully. There are other ways to earn money.

If it is so easy why wouldnt the himself sign up. The only thing is you get cash upfront and you start paying on a monthly basis.

In any case all calculation depends on the initial amount as compared to what you pay during the contract period.

I am not if there are legal issues - like if the phone is used for illegal purpose the phone has a unique number and if it is traced through telco it will be under your name.

Just to share my own experience, this thingy already been around way back to 20+ years ago

Telco was not popular those time, hire purchase is a in thing, SAFE superstore (if you are old enough to heard of this store), most deal with computer or laptop, especially when there's a IT show, bring along your pay slip, IC, off you go with cold hard cash, with many "Ali baba" loitering outside the store or exhibition

Telco was popular only during late 90s onwards, those time, phone is damn expensive, easily a few Ks can be exchange just to sign out a line, no smart phone those time also, and if desperate, SIM can be exchange also, most syndicate will use it for oversea call and dealing with some "illegal" staff, pager still around those time, of course pager can be exchange also.

Not going to elaborate more on this, just a caution of words for TS, many years have past, last time, syndicate very steady one, they play their "games" fairly and accordingly, with social media transformation over the last 10 years, many things have change, and it have change to the worst, if you still keen to try, be prepare to get into deep shit, becos syndicate no more mercy this days, environment changes them, they become more cunning and heartless.
