yep, it is not as if we are walking around asking for trouble when in AC. .. heck, I don't recall any of my friends running other business even mentioning it .. they say things slowed, and the wiser ones are still out and out ..

I 've spent the past few hours just reading on this thread. And I sense some vested interest by some posters. When I was in AC there were some Singapore business owners there. These guys kept a low profile and used proxies. I have a feeling some of them are in here too.

Just spoke to one of the bar owners(owns few bars in fields and perimeter), says no worries for the tourists as even some bars don't do bar fines and pressure is only on bars, you can always talk to the BG to meet after their work , the problem is I guess it could be really late at night or even early morning. Business is really slow and alot to choose from and if they know you or you are with someone they trust ,you can get any girl from any bar.

if they could survive just on drinks commission alone, they would have done it already .... they need more $ and in fact, this clamp down prob works against them, prob lesser punters now in AC

Well, on the other hand, look at Singapore .. since the haze came, prices dropped .. and the ones are willing to go the extra mile ..like I said, threesomes are on offer easily .. Maybe there is a silver lining in the cloud .. you never know

Yea.... and why would anyone want to go AC now when they can have the same fun in Patts without the hassles. The only people who wants them there are the business owners.

I am the legal advisor to several bars in AC and I used to travel there every other week from my home in LOS. Now the bar owners come to LOS to see me instead as they are scared to stay in AC any longer than they need to. Running a bar is no longer profitable in AC. Every centivo that is earned goes into paying off those corrupt bastards. In some cases, the owners have to dig into their own pockets if the amount is not enough.
