Re: Cambodia Phnom Penh Nightlife Discussion
Actually, I am really considering going to Cambodia for a week in the last week of Feb anytime between 21 Feb (Monday) till Fri. That will make it 5 days 4 nights. However, I am not entirely sure if the protocol is still the same.
Basically to go there: 1) Pre-departure PCR test ($98(knightly or something)-$100(Sata)) This is the cheapest I can find. Of course, u all must be already vaccinated. 2) Once reach there just take ART (sponsor by Cambodia government) Once negative can go liao no need quarantine 3) 2 days before coming back you must take PCR/ART (professional administrated) before taking the plane. I think the PCR cost around USD109-150 so I think I will go for ART instead since it is faster and cheaper. 4) Three days before coming back must book online to tell Singapore u are coming back and book a PCR test ($125) once u touch down Singapore and quarantine till ur are negative from the PCR then u can go do normal activities 4) Follow by 7 days of ART So adding in the stupid tests. The additional cost is like $98 + $125 + $50 (for ART) + $30 (self ART) Around 300 dollars. This is for someone who never contacted COVID like me. IF you have recovered from covid within 90 days I think u will be even cheaper. You have to check whether u need any PCR or ART once u come back or not. The flight ticket and hotel I checked already. For example to stay at the Grand Waterfront hotel is about 450-500 dollars. So the total without factor in the "playing" cost is 800 dollars (haven't added in the insurance which covers covid. But I checked also comparable with last time like 30+ dollars only from NTUC). The hotel and flight costs are cheaper comparable or slightly cheaper than last time. Last time if go for 5 days 4 nights also around 500-600 dollars. I hope the playing rates over there we can get better deals as now I think the tourists aren't a lot so we can better deals. Overall I think will be balanced. The difficult part is to go there is no need for VTL flight. Come back need VTL flight and the number is 153. I checked the flight timing to come back on Friday is 8+ am... Meaning 5+ am need to go airport KNN. So basically only have mon-wed for fun. Above is what I concluded from my findings. Might not be entirely correct and I conclude the longer you stay there the cheaper and more worth it. Anyone is interested in going too? Lastly, for a faster reply do add me points at least till positive so my inbox is not limited to 10 only. |

Re: Cambodia Phnom Penh Nightlife Discussion
Just check with a girl I know last time at the bar. She said everything is open KTV/Bar open/Girls have just quiet a little. Don't understand totally. Maybe she just wanna us to patronize there. Then I ask legal to go bar or not she said maybe no problem then no problem. Haiz.... Nowadays totally not sure of the playability over there. But one thing for sure. I will press the price lower than usual. Based on the fact that, It is obvious they are not doing well now.

Re: Cambodia Phnom Penh Nightlife Discussion
OK. I just checked that Jetstar offer VTL flight from Cambodia to Singapore at really affordable price. The hotel there are also not expensive now.
Thus, I am really seriously planning to go from Feb 21 -28 (1 week mon-mon) trip to Cambodia. Due to both dates are Monday, thus, the flight are not so expensive. I already checked the package price with hotel. I can get 8 days 7 nights hotel and flight deal from $370+ (Angkor hotel) to $460+ (Grand Waterfront hotel) to $530+(lux riverside hotel). Except Angkor hotel which I never stay before. The other two are quite good. Why I choose these three hotels because of their locations are nearest to the bars that I know heh. I think that is ridiculous price for a 8 days trip and stay. Last time will be much higher price. Of course after factor in the price of PCR test and etc. I think will add up to 800++ which is still acceptable. The only thing is based on what my girl said, maybe it is quieter but can try and see how there. Might discover hidden gems and have lots of fun where there isn't much crowd now. Maybe can get cheaper rates too. For a few hundred dollars i think is worth a try. It is still much cheaper than going to one KTV session in Singapore which cost thousand plus. Anyone or two interested to go together? Any senior brother already there that can speak English/Chinese to guide? |

Roughly when? You don't need any recommendation. The girls there are plentiful and they can speak English. I have some tuk tuk contact. Last time they brought me to some local restaurant with their local young girls. Very attractive and cost 100 USD to bring home i think but they cannot speak English.

Yes it is girl friendly but the girl must show her id. Security is good because after pass midnight, if the girl going home, the reception will call our rooms to double comfirm. Theres lift to every floor. Some of the sliding windows could be slightly faulty so just be careful. Overall for the price of usd20 to usd25 onwards, its value for money. |

I never been to Cambodia, don't know which hotel is good, i just choose base on customers rating, reviews and photos. Base on my experience in Batam and Balai, hotels which charge below S$50 a night are horrible, aircon not cool, room very awful, bed uncomfortable. However i don't go for hotels which charge over S$100 a night, too expensive. Under S$500 for 5 nights is still reasonable, most important thing for me is able to smoke in room as i see most hotels are smoke free.

Re: Cambodia Phnom Penh Nightlife Discussion
Late march is close to their NY which is at April 14. Many people might go back their hometown and etc might find very little girls. However, still ok. Lately I checked the youtube videos about nightlife over there. Seems like it is opened already and lots of girls but no tourists. HEHEHEHEHEE.
