Was reading up some articles in the net and found this:

VDict.com - Vietnamese Dictionary and Translation - T? ?i?n và d?ch ti?ng Vi?t

Basically it is a dictionary and most importantly a language translation tools from various languages, even Chinese to Vietnamese.

Will be helpful for bros doing the sms with thier newly found beau.

** Click on the translation tab and punch in your written language in white box and hit Translate.

Too bad there's no voice pronociation, but it's free anyway.

I suspect the translation is not that accurate. The last time I tried it to communicate with my viet gf. She doesn't understand what I am trying to say!

I used to use it as well, but I don't know that the translation is not accurate.

I going HCM on the at the end of the month and my galfriend is coming back with me. This time round we may be getting married so I wont know when she will be going back. Can I just buy a one way ticket for her to come Singapore with me? As budget for 1 month only.... Definately she will be staying for more than 1 month. Will the custom refuse the entry as she only has a one way ticket here? Please advised.... Thanks for the help..... Is it a must for travellers to have a return ticket?

I think that the dictionary is useful but the translation is not good.

Apparently the words was translated but it was phased incorrectly. Luckily my gf was patience to puzzle them together as she understand I am zero with thier language.

Excellent stuff ... if i ever decide to look for a viet gal as OC, all the stuff here will come in handy. Some more got senior counsellor like SingViet.

Only 14 days had passed, but it feels like forever.
I made the effort to call her everyday, just before she sleeps. And my goodness, how expensive can it gets for long-distance love affair after a while. I was buying Chat Chat card faster than buying cigarettes.
Btw, i found Smarttel 120 mins $8.00 so it helps somehow... I spoke almost an hour to her everynight recently.

Initially when I called her, we dun have much to talk about. And.. I suppose it should be. Cos from day 1 that I know her, I seldom chat long with her. Almost everyday it was short to the point like "Hmm, you wanna have dinner with me? OK, i come after work around 7pm. Bye.." I was also busy with work then. The sweet-talking and Kun-Chening are exclusively done face to face.
So it took some getting use to before eventually we hit 60 mins chat per night. Bad mistake$$$$$.

When together, I also dun spent our time in the pub. Honestly speaking instead of the Techno music blasting away at ear deafening level, I would rather take Evanesance style live band at Balaclava any day. There were some pubs with Chinese/Hokkien mix of songs Karaoke style but then i am Chinese illiterate.

I did not came to know her inside a pub. I wasn't even interested to explore pubs with Viet gals. I shall share first and explain.

My experiences only takes me to a single occasion when my buddy and I had no luck getting a table in our fav. pool joint, so close by we turned in to Joo Chiat. I had been to JC before but it was straight to IV and BS at the far end near Onan rd. So on that occasion we went to S box.
The entrance was filled with viet gals, almost all are slim, petite, long hair. At that time i didn't know there are Bunkers, Blue lagoon, 88... The Jazzy 51? i know, cos last time with my SG gal pass by. But whenever someones opens the glass door entrance the loud techno music slips out. I still prefer Balaclava (personal preference, no offence to bros who do. peace..)

So in we went(S box).
Wah. So dark. It was a small narrow straight path filled with high tables and chairs both left and right. You can literally see the guys smiling from cheek to cheek holding thier beau. The gals scrutinized us the moment we came in. I couldn't really make out how exactly the gals look due to the lightings but i did not put any effort to try to do so, as I have the impression that they dun speak Mandarin to communicate well but probably some English to get by. And those happy guys could have known to speak Viet so it was thier "gameplay", not mine.
We grabbed a table near the pool and waited for our turns to play. On and off some gals approached us but with the impression that I had which i had mentioned earlier, I wave my hands and shake my head to indicate "no thanks" to them. One gal pass by and caught my buddy's attention. So after she came out from the loo he invited her to sit with us.

Bloody hell. eyes so small but still can so sharp choose nice one. The gal is not super 19 yr old SYT but she has natural beauty. Someone who still looks good without makeup.
I saw them chatting away happily but i couldn't make out what language are they using as some uncles decided to show off thier Hokkien song singing skill proudly and loudly. And of course she should not be sitting near to me since it was his invitation. Then our turn to pool came. We shifted to the low tables facing the pool and started the games. The uncles have decided they need to take a break for thier throats so evesdropping was possible now.
WTF. She can speak Mandarin?? And so well?

Soon I also chip into the conversation. Didn't say much and she probably knows I am not interested to say much too. Hence her response was short and polite. Overall a pleasant gal who also help us to fetch some dollar coin change and top up our beer glass. Buddy didn't hanky panky but tip her $50 for that one hour. While he waited for me to finished my smoke she came out and ask for his number. His problem la. I did not query further. And that ends the night. My first conversation with a viet gal.

Some... few days later
Oh pls.. I dun want to pool again.
Ok. We decided to drive around GL. First event was along lor 8/10 where all the younger ones are. S..l..o..w..l..y.. we drove passed. Gosh! those boobs are way too big and perfect to be natural. Next pls?
"shit you. there are no next. I am hungry. Where u wanna go?" and so he said. Lets settle for a coffee shop with beer and non oily food.
Turn a big round with virtually no tables at most coffee shops. Then we came by lor 42 and spotted bright coffee shop. Ok. he says this one, and also let me enjoy view of viet SYT.

Finally i get to see them in bright lights. But why are they so heavily clad in makeup? Not that they have pimple scar. As a matter of fact the majority of viet gal have very smooth complexion. Could it be the food? And i didn't hear that Cum On Face was popular with Vietnam sex.
We sat. Other tables on to my left, right, behind, in front... oh. all so slim and petite. And what is that popiah thing that everyones is eating?
I watched on TV that Viet food are spicy and sour? So Nah.. I will just have beer. But can you believe it!?, after 12am they pour your beer into a plastic tumbler. Thanks. Gasless flat beer.

A moment later into chatting with my buddy, i get a sense of feeling that someone is looking at me. I am sure every human has this instinct.
45 degrees to my left, a gal sat alone with a can of beer. She turns her eyes away. I do not want to be impolite so i turn mine away too and return the attention to my buddy. A short moment later the instinct came back again. I believe it is from the same source and quickly caught her eyes looking at me. I offerred a smile and she returns it with a shy one. She walks away to the toilet. Ok, not bad, as least she doesn't needs heavy makeup. Well, back to reality; my happily chatting away buddy.

Suddenly someone stand beside me, I turn around and saw this gal again. She ask me to loan her the lighter. (Funny. I tot I saw you lighted a smoke just now). My buddy elbowed me and hinted me to invite her to sit down.
I extended the invitation and she sat for a while before her phone never stopped ringing and she has to go. I exchange ctc with her and she left.
Btw, later i found out from her that the call was from the guy that "eyes turn red" when she declared her retirement, which i had shared earlier on.
later on she sms me for my location, but i was already one leg step into my house liao so never initiated or hinted to meet. Just casual sms of good nights and hope to hear from you.

Next day was Sunday. So morning while in church rec'd her sms. Returned sms back and forth and agreed to meet up later after lunch.
As a form of courtesy, I decided to pick her up from her place at Joo Chiat.
Wah lor, I was shocked when i saw 2 gals instead of one, but i must say her friend had a D cup but slightly MILF. But after that week the D cup already let ppl "pao" liao. Anyway, my interest is not her.
Oh pls, dun tell me you wanna match-make for me? Both ladies were cheerful and courteous and so I drop all negative tots and extended the same happy spirit to them.
2.30pm. Dun know where to go. So decided to go East Coast Park hawker centre to fill our stomach. Hmmm. good. Can i have beer if you dun mind, ladies?
The place was slightly crowded but we managed to get one near a beer counter with class95 music. Yah, the one with round tables and umbrella.
They anxiously went to pick up some food. I walk over and offered to pay but I guess they wanted it thier treat. I asked if they would like beer and ordered a few bottles. We sat and talked more than we ate, soon the conversation lasted till 8.00pm.
I offered to sent them home to Joo Chiat. As we walk along the path, she held my hand. I was enjoying the moments but did not made any advancement for further "actions" or plan cos i understand it was time for them to go to work. Upon reaching thier place stair case, the D cupper spoke to her in Viet and turn to walk up. She turn to me, smile and I told her the usual dating stuff "enjoy being with you and all that crap.." She said she does not want to go to work, and let me know that I can take her to anywhere.

And so the flowers bloomed....

High chance she will be refuse entry unless u met with a understanding officer which is very rare. I used to help my gal to "chopped" passport via JB re-entry. The officer will "invite" u to talk with them in a rm cos my gal dont hav return ticket. i managed to convince him(maybe he is on good mood) but he stressed that it is important to hav return ticket and min $500 in wallet cos singapore dont wan illegal immigrant.The return ticket is to prove that she will not be overstaying in singapore while the $500 min is to show that she is spending in singapore as tourist, not "working" .

i managed to avoid the $500 rule when i travel back to singapore with her few mths ago. But again u need to explain the situation with the officer and hope that he/she is in a good mood.

Tiger airways ticket ar very cheap now. i just bought another ticket roundtrip to vietnam for only $200. So the best advice i can give u is to buy the return ticket to avoid trouble and it will only cos u like less than $100.

If u wan to extend ur gal stay to more than a mth will depend wherether ur gal passport is "dirty" or not and wherether she hav extend her passport before. but since u ar getting married with her, the procedure might be different(think u should hav some proper paperwork to back u up). Think there is some comments regarding this issue few pages back in this post..u can try reading it.

I understand tiger is cheap now but just think whether can save the hundred or not...... caused having a vietnamese GF is really not cheap.......last time when i just started to go all these vietnamese pub , whenever the gals ask me when we are settling down, I will slowly stop the relation as i was only earning ard take back pay of 2k further more at the moment also owns a car.... not enough man...... at that point thinking if can take back 3k it will be a comfortable figure to have a vietnam wife...... to b frank now my take back is not less then 4k monthly but just making enough to meedt month end sometimes still short abit......... sometimes i think find a singaporean gf is alot better .... my colleagues who is earning the same as me can drives a honda integra and buying labour as the gf is also working n dont need his support.......at the end of day its us who choose so no choice ..... but still the days staying with vietnam gals is great..... the feeling is nice.... going on HXM for 3 days....... going date is either 29, 30 or 1st and will stay for 3 days .... whos going at that time ?

Since u said that this time round, you may be getting marry then why dont u book the rom date and show it to ICA? This will save you from alot of problem.

As for the return ticket thingy...I think buying one way already create proble for your girl at VN airport roi...If i remember correctly, they will ask your girl about 1 way ticket if she not a student or whatever reason.
