The kids are carrying us! Carvalho proving to be a super sub and Elliott was motm. Shout out to Diaz for running himself into the ground. Thought Bobby offered enough. Salah largely anonymous though. Oh and now Henderson is on the injury list with a hamstring Have to add that this was a victory against time wasting. Let’s give credit to the ref for actually adding on time to added on time! Also serves the Newcastle bench right, such bad sports even resorting to throwing water bottles at our bench in anger after Fabio's late late winner. Finally, thought Isak made a fine debut, looks like a really good clinical striker. Pity he is not with us though. |

Breaking: Arthur Melo has signed for Liverpool with the Brazilian arriving on a one-year loan deal from Juventus
Arthur Melo has completed his deadline day deal from Juventus and joins the club on a one-year loan move, adding strength in depth to our midfield. After Jurgen Klopp’s dramatic u-turn on the need for another man in the middle of the park, news of Jordan Henderson’s injury against Newcastle United meant that there was no room for delay by the club. Calls to the Italian club after our dramatic 2-1 victory meant that the Brazilian was convinced by Jurgen Klopp that Anfield was the place for him to spend the next year of his career. The 26-year-old has enjoyed spells in Turin, Barcelona and Gremio – as well as representing his country on 22 separate occasions. One main worry for our supporters will be the fact that the midfielder missed 13 games in the last campaign through injury, only managing 16 starts for the Old Lady. Since his arrival in Europe for the 2018/19 season, he has missed a total of 47 matches.

If he's that good n not injury prone, do u think Juve would let him go? In a way Pool is doing desperate buying n they'll have to take whoever is available @a cheap reasonable price knowing the Pool owners are not willing to spend.

By early Oct, I expect some good players to take life easy to prevent injuries. No one wants to miss out on the World Cup which comes once every 4 years. If this happens, EPL results may be really open. Like it is now. We are having a terrible start but we are 5 points behind city with 33 games to play. I think we will be ok when the injured players return.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
We really have a fight on our hands for top 4.
The idea we could be 10 behind Arsenal after 6 games is genuinely horrifying. A season of massive transition clearly and unfortunately, it will be very very grim. Back to the match, when Jota came on, we started making chances. We could have won it at the end. I hope he stays fit. He should start. Thought Bobby was also good when he came on and Kostas also played well. Oh and Ali was superb. As for our problems... We’ve bought a lad, Nunez, who needs service from out wide or passes slipped between centre half and full back. And we’ve got two wide men who do neither, and nobody in midfield capable. He’s going to starve to death. Also, if you are taking your main goal threat, Salah, so far away from goal and making him start his own attacks on the touch line compared to him getting in between left back and centre back then the formation is wrong. Finally, read Klopp was almost hit by a drinks bottle lobbed at him. This sort of behaviour is unacceptable. So something needs to be done before someone get's seriously hurt. |
