Mourinho tactics has always been defensive minded since his Porto days....from Porto to Chelsea to InterMilan it has always been the same.
Even at Real Madrid where he had an array of attacking talents he still stuck to his defensive tactics first and will only go on the offensive after gaining the advantage over the opponents.
His tactics has not changed at Man Utd.... still the same old predictable defence first and counter attack style.
As such, I see the Liverpool match at Old Trafford as likely to be a draw or a low score game.

A leopard will never change its spots. One bro got it spot on in earlier post. Mourinho style is to play from defence out. He does not know how to play other styles. Attacking football? You'll never see it in Mourinho's teams.
I believe that is why he failed at Inter and Real Madrid.
And I believe he will also fail at Man Utd.
You simply cannot change the DNA of attacking teams and try to get them to play defensive style. It may work for a few games but in the long run the team will become shitty.

Dunno how u defined "failed".....

He is 1 of the most successful manager in recent yrs .... His 10 seasons of club management he won 8 domestic league. He won at least 1 trophy for every season for 10 seasons.

He won Series A, 2008–09, 2009–10 with Inter and went over to Real Madrid and won La Liga, 2011–12.

The only thing I have to say about him, he is too arrogance and can't get along well with others.

I'm not sure how to label him a failure at Inter and Real.

He won 5 titles at Inter including 2 Serie A titles and 1 CL title.
While at Real he ended the 18 year wait for the team to win the Copa del Rey title by winning it in his first season.
He added the La Liga and Supercopa de Espana titles to his name while reaching the CL semi finals for 3 consecutive years.

To be honest I am not a fan of Mourinho but I always feel credit must be given when due.
