Soon we ended the chat and it was bed time for me, I was looking forward to the next day and I smiled, falling asleep fast.


I woke up the next morning and it was the usual, today I had this feel, I was ready for anything. I reached the bus stop and I saw Evon, only hi's were exchanged, I stood confidently as I waited for the bus , telling myself today is the day.

I was in a struggle with Jasmine, and I did the most childish and disgusting thing ever. I held my breath and slipped my hand into my shorts, placing the note in my briefs.

Me shaking my hands: cannot snatch already.

Jasmine sat on her bed, and she looked on the ground: when did you know about this?

Me: Yesterday?

Jasmine: where you get this?

Me: From Andy.

Jasmine: was there anything more?

Me: yes

Jasmine cover her face with her hands and started crying, it was the first time I saw her that weak. I moved beside her and held her shoulder with 1 arm, I held her head to my shoulder.

Me: it's over Jasmine, I have all of it.

Jasmine: please.... Please tell me you never see the photos.

Me: We came right after, we have not seen them. (I lied and I think Jasmine knew)

Jasmine: can you give them to me?

I took the bags of photos out and placed them beside Jasmine.

Jasmine can you ask Ann here?

I nodded as Jasmine got off me, I went out and told Ann that Jasmine was asking for her.

Soon I see Ann coming out and going into the kitchen, she returned to the room shortly holding a lighter and a pot.

Soon the pungent smell of soot filled the air, Jasmine and Ann came running out. There was so much smoke I believe anyone would believe there was a fire.

It ended with Small pot thrown into a pail of water, Jasmine gave up and took the easier approach, tying up a plastic bag after she place everything in and dumping them into the rubbish chute.

Jasmine seem to be in a better state now, as she came back from the kitchen slap her hands.

Jasmine: Lawrence, come with me.

I looked at her with a puzzled look as I followed her to her room again, the smell of soot was still there as Jasmine switched on the fan trying to air the place.

Jasmine stretch her hand out: The agreement.

Me: you really want it ah?

Jasmine: Give it to me and go.

Me: huh?

Jasmine: now you know everything, would you still want to be with me?

Me: yes. Then you think I go get all this for who!

That was the first time Jasmine was left speechless, she sat on her bed looking at me.

Me: Can you tell me, what really happened? I want to hear from you.

Jasmine: where you want me to start?

I know about Stephanie and her Boyfriend but how you and Andy got together.

Jasmine: Stephanie brought me to Andy's place one day, and... He raped me....

That moment, I felt the beaten I gave Andy wasn't enough.

Me: wait how did it happen?

Jasmine: Stephanie was in the room with me, and when Andy came in Stephanie stepped out.... Closing the door.. And he...

Jasmine started crying and I got how it happened.

Jasmine took awhile to stopped her crying and continued her story.

Jasmine: He did it and after that Stephanie told me I might as well be his Girlfriend. He took my virginity what can I do!

Me: And then?

Jasmine: Sorry Lawrence I lied to you, remember I told you about my Ex and I broke off with him the next day?

Me: Uhuh.

Jasmine: that was not the truth, that was what I wished I did. Andy, Stephanie and me, we will go to Stephanie's BF place. His name is Mark.

Me nodding my head as I patted on Jasmine's

Jasmine: the agreement was done there, it was for fun. And I took it as nothing just fun as Stephanie wrote a same one too.

Me: then?

Andy kept mine and used it on me, I did not stop him as he was my BF. He started taking photos which I thought were harmless, we had blankets on and things.But He kept asking for more, threatening me with the photos. In the end I did a lot of things, including doing it with Stephanie and Mark.

Me: then how you got out of it.

Jasmine: I did whatever they told me to until Andy said he wanted Ann, I cannot let Ann become like me. I avoided them and the things appeared in school, I started skipping school with Ann and soon we met Christina, she confronted Stephanie.

Me: oh so that is why you girls were in the group.

Jasmine: Stephanie still called me names in school, and Christina told me to endure it. She was right soon the people in school was sick of her rubbish and no one really cared about names she called me.

Me: and that was how life became normal again?

Jasmine : Yes, the after a few months you came into the group.

Jasmine was in tears, and I took out the agreement (damn unsightly I know). I tore it apart and she lifted her head up looking at me doing it, as placed to torn pieces on her hand.

Me: Jasmine, all that you told me just now, they did not happen.

I got up and walked to the living room, I believe it was best that I left Jasmine alone.

I told Ann that I was leaving, Ann took her keys and opened the door for me.

I walked out and took a bus on the main road, I was thinking about Stephanie. You can call me a idiot, but I really did not want to hurt Ah Kai in the process.

My pager beeped when I was on the train, and I carried trying to figure out this issue.

I listen to the voicemail at the station before heading home, and it was Jasmine.

Jasmine voicemail: Thank you.....

I smiled and walked home, I decided to page Ah Kai but after waiting for 10mins I went for my bath. He did not reply.......
