Yes .. I applied my BTO with my SC child who is not born in Singapore, and yes my wife is LTVP+ 3 yrs.

Yes .. having a SC child is a BIG Deal for getting eligibility ... Definitely it is in my case when I applied for my BTO.

Another word of advice ... PLEASE make sure your child is born IN Singapore and NOT somewhere else ... Reason if your Child is NOT born in Singapore, he/she CAN only get SC under Descent of the Father and NOT Mother.

Just to share .. I have a Lady Singapore client who married a Aussie, her child borned in Austalia CANNOT becomes a SC by Descend as this clause is Tag to the Father of the Child .. not the Mother.

I am the female. Although the child can get the citizenship by descent from my husband even if I give birth back in my home country, we just thought that giving birth to the child here is the most straight-forward and convenient in terms of paper work.

This is a good reminder that gender still matters in today's society

May I ask why you haven't applied for LTVP/+ right after you got married? 'Almost 1 year' is sort of a longtime to be coming back and forth with a visit pass for your wife..

LTVP+ ICA recommends 3 years of marriage, and you cannot demand LVTP+, from what i know .. if you dont' qualify for LTVP + they issue LTVP

We applied for LTVP a few days after our wedding. It was approved in 2 weeks. ROM was end March, I got my card for 3 yrs LTVP+ by end April

ICA was very nice to us all the way, they assisted us so my husband didn't have to pay so much for my extensions every 2 weeks before the scheduled ROM.

Every application is unique so we can't say that ICA is very rigid. They have their set of guidelines and they are quite good in weeding out those with questionable intentions.

there is plenty of hidden agenda here...which he not sharing with us...so why he didn't apply LTVP in the first place is unknown to us...

ltvp plus - to apply work now is easier task, just need to get permission from mom, no levy imposed also.

LTVP although troublesome as need to convert to work permit also no need to pay levy ...

It's not that troublesome if u apply it within a year.

My gal got her sc in less than 2 mths ... N I do the submission in Vietnam.
