Well, Makati is comparitively safer, though you get an occasional shooting - compared to malate where it is a bit more ... and makati is devoid of beggers and street children, though P Burgos is sort of out of makati...

Or - if you are stuck - go to Pentravel at Lucky PLaza, and they can book for you and also arrange a not to expensive airport pickup ..

Just back from manila this morning after 3 nights there in P burgos street. Makati palace hotel is right where the bar strip start.Paid S$82 a night.Traveling distance to greenbelt and the resort world casino is about 100 peso and glorietta is 10 minutes walk away.Nobody could tell about the actual weather condition there as during my stay,it's hold but alway seem like a thunderstorm is coming.Pm me for more update.Anyway,MBS is still fun to check it out.just play factor had drop a little.

Check out Agodo.com today. They have a special rate of $54 for Berjaya. I booked mine for that special rate today for 3 nights in March. Book it quick!!! 4 rooms left!!!

I personally like Best Western Astor or now called Berjaya in Makati cause it is near Taguig and Makati + free internet. The room is also way better than those hotels I stayed in Malate. The breakfast is excellent too!! Only problem is the malls is kind of far and need to take taxi there. Not walking distance. Normally I go is market market! mall if I stay there.

It is also walking distance to Burgo Street. heee

Thanks for all the info. can i check what is the concept in Icon and Havana and MBS?

Do we fish ourselves ? Or attract attention of ladies and buy them drinks etc. These places are clubs where they play R & B , Techno ?

Please shed some light for a newbie. Will be in Manila 2 or 3 nights, so EDSA and P. Burgos bar hopping alone every night will be monotonous. Thinking of something different.

in a nutshell:

Icon: Pure girls - and not FLs - so - imagine St James .. though you may have an occasional stringer ..

Havana: Imagine Insomnia - mix of FLs and normal girls, though the latter evoporate by late evening ..

MBC (not MBS) - purely FLs - walk in, eye contact, no need to even buy drink, say hi, macano ?? and walk out

Well, and MBC don't have LD so you are not even obliged to buy the girl a drink

MBC - ground floor is like 'low class girls' - the cheaper ones, and is open 24 hours.
