To avoid getting caught up with traffic in Manila, my suggestion is to stay at Malate area to check out the night life and places of interest there (Ocean Park, Intramurous etc ) and a few days at Aseana City area for convenient access to the major casinos, shopping malls, massage at AirForce 1 and night life P.Burgos since it is nearer to Makati, and also can scoot off to NAIA without worrying about getting caught and missing your flight on the last day.

Yep, choose your battles If I decided to only focus on LA Cafe, Edsa Complex, Malate / Ermita. Rivera Mansion.

if I choose to get my FL contacts who mostly operate around Makati, Makati, Great Easter or Citadel. And also that's good to troll P Burgos.

But trust me, I will never trust Manila traffic when heading to Airport, I plan and leave 3 hours before the flight departure, hoping to get to the airport at least 1.5 hour before, if all goes to shit.

China Chinese is everywhere in Manila nowadays. Makati area still not that bad, you can still see quite many Korean & other restaurants, one of the worse is on Paranaque airport.

Years back, after China crackdown and I start to explore my venture to PH, when I chatted you, asking your Manila and AC guidance, on my first arrival in Manila there was no single China Chinese shop there; but now the road has only Chinese shops without other, well, with one Jollibee. The road has totally changed.

My tiny Sterling bank is the opposite, when I had some money missing, they promptly identified where and why it went away, and resolved it.

Meanwhile, a reasonably bigger East West bank, well, seems a lot of cases of ATM only card accounts being used online for fraud and bank 'investigates' it ..

Latest to be hit, a friend of mine.

PS, Students ? yeah right. I won't believe that "Student" thingy in PH anymore. And the guy is exaggerating a bit when he say girls sleep on the street or always on Casino mode. Of all the hooker bars in Manila, this one probably has the cheapest and dirtiest girls. Some of them actually sleep on the street and the only time they take a shower is when they are at a customers hotel.

If you take a girl to your hotel and the first thing she wants to do is take a shower, maybe you should think twice about having sex with her. She is probably homeless and the only time she sleeps or showers is with a customer.

Most of them are either hooked on drugs and/or the casino. And most of them will steal your phone if they get the chance. They will steal anything from anyone. They even steal from each other.

There are girls who will not change their clothes for a week. They will finish with a customer and go straight to the casino. Lose all the money. Then go back to the bar to get another customer. Then after they finish with that customer, they go back to the casino again. They lose that money too, so back to get another customer, over and over. They do this for several days in a row without sleeping because they are also high on drugs the whole time.

If you go there between 10pm and midnight there are probably 10 girls for each guy. And the place is packed. This is the time to go if you want the best girls. Because some of them are actually also going to school or have another job.

But if you go at 8am in the morning, its a whole different set of girls. There are still 10 girls for every guy, but these girls are all strung out and haven't slept for days. Some of them will be sleeping at the tables. But this is when you can strike the best bargains. (If that's your thing

Unless you have strong dealings with Filinvest group, they wont' give a flying fuck if something goes wrong

BTW, the scams being reported, since 2010 or something, were all using NON Master card / Visa accounts to buy online itunes etc. Some internal staff possibly is on the scam, adding a visa / master card to the account and buying online, including one from Paypal where the original account holder managed to get Paypal to release the delivery address of the purchased item. Heck, even after the 100 million US$ Bangladesh Heist routed via RCBC, RCBC is suing the Bangladesh ambassador for slander and what not !!! Meanwhile, the Filipina manager involved planned a holiday in Tokyo, the day after the heist, and got stopped and was on TV cursing everybody for spoiling their long planned family holiday .. Until now, the case is not settled but the case against Bangladesh filed by RCBC is moving ahead. Talk about suing the victim.

Keep little money or regularly check balance. If need to use Visa / Master, get a separate account.

Yes, before the volcano eruption, d americans were in clark air base n its surroundings were filled with wls. I regret not going there when i was a RSAF soldier in Tengah Air base spore. Many of my air force friends went to clark air base for detachments and hv told me many gd stories there.
