Am thinking of moving to vietnam to stay , will appreciate if bros here especially those who are staying there or who frequent there often could let me know if its a wise idea for a Singaporean to do so.
Singapore is too expensive, stressful n unhappening for me while malaysia is too crime infested . Thailand have too many angmos for my liking n it recently tighten th rules to make it harder for foreigners to stay there long term .

So have to consider vietnam as it still looks to have a vibrant social scene for Singaporean men at the moment with medical care n living costs said to be considerably lower than sg .

Compare vietnam and thailand and even malaysia, i would prefer the latter 2 than vietnam. Personally, the food is not to my appetite, second public transport is a headache though taxi is reasonably cheap, but if you want stay long term, dont think you gg to cab around all day right? 3rd, if want to play, i think their nightlife is quite expensive and worse than singapore in certain places. So it really depend on individual, its a nono for me. For you, maybe yes.

thanks for the input, really need to get more thoughts from the seniors here as shifting base is something very troublesome that i hope to get right first time round . Someone say that Singaporeans cannot do visa run on a monthly basis to remain in vietnam , will appreciate if someone can enlighten me on this subject

An American tourist was stabbed to death during a fight with a Vietnamese man in Ho Chi Minh City's backpacker district on Thursday night.

Police have identified the suspect, allegedly with a history of drug addiction, and are searching for him, HCMC Police’s news website reported.

An initial investigation found that Stephen Marshall Pendeeton had got caught up in a fight with a Vietnamese man on Pham Ngu Lao Street, a popular nighttime venue among foreigners.

The 22-year-old tourist reportedly tried to escape down an alley but was chased after and stabbed to death. His attacker then fled the scene.

The cause of their conflict is not immediately known.

Pham Ngu Lao is part of the city’s popular backpacker district with bars, spas and clubs staying open until late at night. It draws up to 2,000 foreign visitors every day.

Ho Chi Minh City is one of the top tourist destinations in Vietnam, welcoming more than five million foreign arrivals last year. But safety issues such as muggings and violent street attacks remain a concern for visitors.

Would like to seek some advice. My viet bu, went going back in early June time was questioned by ica and have 10 fingerprints recorded cos she don't understand their questions.

Now we are planning for rom in singapore. I called ica regarding ltvp matters and Ica advised me to fly in with her when arriving in sg in case she gets stopped by ica.

My question is what is this 10 fingerprints for and how to defend her when ica stop her again? I prepared our rom appointment in her passport just in case.

Hope someone can share any experience they have. My viet bu is tourist btw. She was recommended by my friend. Not a fl.
