With the correct advice ... I choose to make VN passport for my bb ... until now NO problem ... on both side ...

The only stupid problem is at the airline checking in counter ..

1. My wife needs to produce her LTVP when flying out of VN to proof her status. Previously when she got no LTVP, KNS , need to show Marriage Certificate else she dun allows her to fly ..

2. formy BB, need to show the SC to the airlines. If no bring SC, I show them the SG chop and they take a while to say ok coz i guessed they never see it before.

Its a good option for ur bb is in vn most of the time. Better dun let my wife knows this. I told her once bb come she must stay here all times cos bb hold sillypore Ho Chieu.
Actually u can try using vn passport only when at the VN custom, others all use sg passport. Go thru Faster out of spore.

As for checking IC, think all ASEAN country all will check, we go holidays everytime all checkin counter ask.
Even buy ciggy also, when going back VN DFS dun let me buy. All listen spore HOME Team

He can choose to go NS and later give up SG passport.

Check in counter will not check ID unless u are taking domestic flight and you are local. All international flight will demand passport and foreigner taking domestic flight needs passport too.

I mean check in counter in ASEAN country always check our bx for spore passes/ic/cert etc. Like VB are infamous liao.. ICA required their help to filter WL.

After my bx got her SPR many years ago, i asked her to get Singapore passport but she wasn't sure. It was when i started to go into JB often for petrol and food that prompted her to get Singapore passport. Malaysia immigration will chop my passport very fast but when they see my bx's viet passport, they will always flip here and there, taking long time to check. Even with the SPR stamp on the last page of viet passport, it doesn't make much difference. After my bx got her Singapore passport, she can pass thru Malaysia immigration fast, just like me and my family.

If just travelling between Vn and Singapore, not much difference. One of the services that my vn office provided last time was visa application services for the local vietnamese. Viet passport without fat bank account are looked down and always declined visa application to western or developed countries. Its sad but true.

How can a person with SPR apply for Singapore passport ? SPR is Singapore Permanent Resident, not Singapore Citizenship.
