cars cannot travel fast in hcm roads...also some small roads car cannot go in...so what is the purpose of having car...only used to travel out to province...then cannot find place safe enough to park too...

Car is Common ... BUT bike is everywhere

Car is Comfort BUT Not convenient and you can't anyhow Park ...

To buy a car in Vn , you have to Proof that you have a "Space" to Park

Saigon was given by the french during their colonisation which dates before the Vietnam war. It is not by the americans.

Yes, especially those small lanes between houses, only bike can go through. Some more given the traffic condition and living standards there it is better to own a bike.

Lately noticed more and more cars on the roads of HCMC. Also more n more expensive cars too.

It was not given by American and American did not conquer south Vietnam. Why American was in the south was because of north invasion, American was there to prevent communist expansion.

Most of the older roads condition are bad, no carpark, heavy luxury tax and others preventing more cars but the rich is still willing to spend this money.
