Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

like Jack Neo said: Money always not enough. Ya, I also don't mind to be called stingy and bad son-in-law, in fact the more they call me by this name, the more "shiok" I feel. That means I have done enough to protect my "wealth".

To be fair, I don't mind paying a bit to take care the parents-in-law, but must be shared accordingly among the siblings, and never act hero. If they have other sons, they must pay a bigger share, then come daughters to chip in. My limit is up to the parents-in-law. To take care the rest of the bro or sis in law, over my dead body.

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

This is a chat between my gf and her friend. Both from VN. I know a bit lack of integrity to do this but just wanna warn all the bros out there.

I'm not saying that all VN girls are bad. Just giving an insight on some of their thoughts.

All dialogue remains original. Only changed the names to maintain privacy.

For the part that you hang up and she sounded pissed after that, it could be due to the way you ended the conversation.

She may have alot to tell you, but feeling that you are not really listening and in a hurry to end the call. then you may have ended the call abruptly, which she may find rude or offended.

try ending the call with a lot of caring words & sweet loving whispers. Afterall she is your gf mah. Must pump in alot of patience and tender loving care. Just like a movie, it can have a good start, an interesting storyline, but still consider a failure if the ending is lousy.

Above is just an suggestion of what may be the causes. Choke Dee krup.

bro the thing is she also do the same thing to me sometimes. suddenly hang up without saying bye bye or wat... i thought it's their culture? maybe im confused with the context but my encounters with other viet gals also like this. they dun seem to say bye bye to hang up??? paiseh im really confused... still trying my best to understand them...

P/s: i think u r right with the point she got things to tell me. she sound very happy and enthu to talk bcuz it's her last day of work at her factory. and when she ask me who's calling me and who is coming to look for me. i keep saying fren la fren la... i think thats y she got pissed? but i really dunno...

it might be a typical quality that VB is looking for in a man?
not only she does her role as my wife but she also take care of my family. Some of her good thinking and action towards family and people also let me learn a lot from her.

There is always good things that u can learn from your viet spouse and not always money matters

i also saw before,at my first vb house. The most unforgetable one is while we are having lunch, there is no light in the living room,is dark inside but a broken hole on the atap roof let some sunlight shine in

halfway rain come and they quickly shift the table to a cover side.most unforgettable one is the toliet,i dont know how to describe but is very dark and just a hole.

before i left, she father was taking his shower outside her house beside those huge jug/bowl with rain water collected.
