If you already ROM, then just bring the letter of ROM, to smoothen her process with the ICA at the airport, in case they ask her, why she frequently come and visit Sg. She can just say that she visiting her future Husband to be and in laws and also preparing for the up coming wedding.

Hi senior and all bros. Got a qns.

Do minors travelling out of vietnam together with their grandmother need an authorisation letter from their mother in order to leave vietnam?

2 minors, one is 2 years old, the other is 13. Their grandmother is 60 plus. Their mum is at Singapore.

They are travelling via jetstar.

Reason being the vietnam authorities say need the authorisation letter from the mother but her mum is at Singapore.

I find that it does not make sense. They are travelling with an adult, their grandmother some more. I don't understand it.

Can someone shed some light pls?

Yes, kids need authorisation letter from parents if not travelling with parents....

Today we have email and social apps to send letters....

Airlines will never know if anyone is child trafficking...

The procedure is SOP for many countries and not only Vietnam...

If find it troublesome then just dun bring kids...ask their mother to fly back to Vietnam and then travel with the kids together...

Why make no sense??? Grandfather, grand mother, grand this and that, how does the custom official knows? Ask u to poke your finger and drip blood? Ask u to produce family history??

If mum in SG and baby in VN... then jolly well get the mum to fly to VN, if she is too busy then why bother to get the baby to SG?

No additional stamp, just 1 stamp as normal and instead of 30 days, they will write the 90 days date....

oops...not SOP hor...if you dun ask for 90 days for APEC card holders...they will just write 30 days...sometimes the immigration officer may ask you if you stay how long...
