Hi,you will be issued a ticket when you pay Prima Ferries at Harbour Front. You will also be a Boarding pass which you will need to board the ferry at Harbour Front.

So now u have 2 things when you pay Prima Ferries S$48.00. A Boarding Pass & a ticket. Use your boarding pass to get on board the ferry in Harbour front,and use your ticket to get a Return Boarding pass when you arrive at Batam,Harbour Bay as advise in the guide.

For more info on this,you may check with both Harbour front and Harbour Bay prima ferries counter staffs. Fyi,they all speaks English,except the ones in Batam speak a more broken English and those in Sillypore speaks a little better English.

I didn't quite get your question,but still i hope i answered them accordingly.

wow...did not realised the ticket to Batam can be so expensive...my cheapest ticket to HCM only SGD 86.00 this year...haha...

Hi Bro,1st of all,my apologies for putting up your PM to me in public,but i find your questions a good learning material to all newbies heading to Batam,hence i put them up here. Out of respect to you,i have censored off your name as i believe when you PM,one of your wish is to remain anonymous.

Now,to answer your questions :

i Read your encounter in Batam and find you are luckier than me.Do not be afraid to make mistakes during 1st time travelling to another country. Who don't make mistakes? You only kena chop 400k in 2010 by taxi driver on your 1st trip,i kena more than 1 juta (1 million rupiah) when i hire a taxi for 2 days during my 1st solo trip. If you are heavily chopped,then i am in worse situation. But today i am almost 100% sure no taxi in Batam can ever chop me again for the rest of my Batam trip to follow. Read my guide on my signature (if you haven't) and you will understand why they are created for.

1. I still insist on Formosa for 1st timer due to safety reasons. 550k and 450k is abt S$11 apart,not a big difference. During your 2nd trip,you may wish to take taxi to Kaha (opp Harmoni hotel) to book formosa room at 455k. (compare 455k to 450k) When you are more familiar with going to Batam,then check other hotels or Kaha out.

2. If your hotel not centralised and plan to go to booking joint,always ask the taxi driver to drop you to some landmark of the joints and not the joints itself. Example ,if you want to go to Queens or Dynasty,ask taxi driver drop you at Formosa Hotel. Taxi drivers earns a commission between 100k to 200k each time when you book a girl at a joint they brought you to. (stats are from reading this thread & the girls i booked in Batam) So u are actually paying 100k to 200k extra for the girl u book. Some drivers may attempt to stalk you to your destination,so it's up to you to find reasons and excuses to get rid of him or just tell OKT that you don't come with driver when he name his price for the girl you wish to book.

3. 50k from Harbour Bay to city area is pretty much a norm today during weekends,i don't know about the market rate during 2010. I pay 40k from Harbour Bay to opposite Harmoni Hotel and then to Formosa Hotel during weekdays. My fren pay 50k from Harbour Bay to Formosa direct for both weekends and weekdays. I listed the price above base on 2014.

4. I am sorry bro,i don't attempt to remember any name of the girls i bang in Batam nor RTF them again,so i cannot recommend. Like 2 famous quotes in this thread (i believe any countries practice that too), "Batam is a hit & miss" & "one man's meat could be another man's poison"...everything depends on luck and your perspective over a situation or encounter. I like to bonk "Big Fat Old Ugly" Batam girls,do you? Really sorry that i cannot help you on this one.

Btw,i don't take sea food,don't go KTV or disco too.(i don't speak Malay or Indo) I have bros who PMed me ,read my guides multiple times and even went to the extend to print them out & bring it on their trip so they can navigate their trip better. One of the main reasons why the guide was created is becos being a newbie in Batam i make mistakes...and i share my findings in a guide form(or summary) so that other Batam newbies can refrain from making the same mistakes.

Pardon me if I am just curious...if a person likes big fat old ugly, why bother to go to batam?? I think a maid of this description will be very willing to fuck with you 8 hours every Sunday for $100 or less....haha!!! almost 100 years old, and yet still learning , looking for answers... Hehe!!!

Woah! S$86.00 is cheap to HCM and back...but then again,one has to consider making a fairer apple to apple comparison,example as below :

1. Comparing the most expensive ferry ride to HCM & the most expensive ferry ride to Batam. The cheapest arrow plane ride to HCM via the cheapest arrow plane ride to Batam.

2. The time used from taking ferry to HCM via ferry to Batam. Time taken by arrow plane from Sillypore to HCM via Sillypore to Batam.

3. The different comfort level from a plane & ferry ride.

Nonetheless,by plane to HCM at S$86 is definitely better value than by ferry to Batam at S$48 in terms of comfort level and being able to travel further.

Agreed with you,there are many factors that would change a budget in a trip,and one of the most common being exchange rate & the others being inflation,and there are of course many more like personal mood/preference level etc etc.

1st time going to a new place,people say bring $10 but also must have at least $12 to $15 inside wallet in case of emergency ma...hehehe...

Hi,bro...constant learning is a good virtue for everyone.

The 4 words "Big Fat Old Ugly" in most of my posts are used more as an illustration to descript the rejected few in booking joints that are at most time not chosen due to their age,size,weight & looks. But for a girl to be working in booking joints in Batam aka Batam brothel,i believe everyone of them will have their own strength & weakness.Whether in terms of looks,size or appearance they have not reach the lowest level by my expectation so far.But these are my own standard & point of views which i cannot impose others to believe in.

Example,a bro who says he bonk an SYT in Batam actually belongs to the "Big Fat Old Ugly" category by my standard or vice versa when i say i bonk a SYT in Batam which bros here might feel she belongs to or close to the "Big Fat Old Ugly" category.

In a simpler sense,i am going one big round to tell people of the famous wise words...one man's meat COULD be another man's poison.It is no good to have high expectation and then be disappointed later.

Regarding maid at S$100 or less for 8 hours every Sunday falling into those category,i honestly have not seen or tried. So i cannot make comparison with the girls in Batam who works in booking joints that allows booking of more than 16 hour at S$66.00 (base on 9100/SGD) Perhaps you may wish to enlighten newbies like myself who's less than half your age regarding the less than S$100/8 hours maid deal so that we all can learn from each other?

This sharing report is base on my own experience, is meant for sharing. You may have different encounter. Feel free to share comment.

Due to last minute changes of my schedule, have some free time and want to spend it at a cheaper way. Went over to batam in the evening to stay a night over there and take the 1st ferry back home the next day due to work commitment. Since i wanted to take the first ferry, so decided not to go far, so i can save my transport and also save some time. So decided to check in to GGi hotel which is very near to our the jetty.

It was only within walking distance from the time i step down batam ground. I will also walk by the harbourbay mall, inside can jalan jalan and beli makan. If nite bore, there is pub over there, there is also M1 pub to ta pao gal if u feel bore in the night.

Advantages
- Room is big, dark and cosy
- Easy access, as opposite is shopping mall, want to go anywhere is can get taxi easily
- have wifi and the wifi is strong, will not get cut off easily
-buffet style breakfast, eat till u full.
-clean bathub attach
-aircon is strong
-lot of socket for charging handphone
-able to choose smoking and non-smoking room


Disadvantages
- very expensive if never book online of buy any hotel vocheur
- more price range for customer to choose will be good
- no incall massage service

Although the room rate was expensive. Overall i think is just ok to stay with, will prefer to switch around to stay at different hotel for next trip and share different information.

There are also many hotel within the surrounding of this area.

Price is worth it for this kind of hotel.

Bro Naka, the $188 just covers the ferry operator's fee, and does not include the seaport taxes. You will still have to pay the seaport tax at harbourfront and at batam centre for each trip.

Not too sure how much is the seaport tax, but if I'm not wrong, it's about 20ish total for 2-way.

This season ticket will only really be worth it if you make more than 10 round trips per month.

Yes,you are right bro...the sea port tax is excluded & below is the Terms & conditions from Sindo Ferry when you join the Club. It's the whole application form.
