Hey guys, on twitter I have seen some young dommes talk about being "mentors" to other newer dommes. It reminds me of those houses like La Siora in Japan where experienced dommes with decades of experience would mentor newer ones, the only difference is that in SG, the mentors themselves have only been in the season for like 5 or less years lol.
If they themselves are only in their 20s, what qualifies them to be mentors in the first place? Not hating on them or anything, in fact it's good that the newer dommes have a friend to help them enter the scene, but to call them "mentors" is just a bit silly.
For me, it doesn't mean being longer in certain industry will lead to more knowledge and experience. One can be having hands on training for 5years the other being training once a mth for 10yrs. Clearly the one with 5years experience has the upper hand.
Like one can climb to the position of a director in 5years whereas another can remain as a clerk for 20years.
So given the benefit of doubt,

i did tell her about fetlife. she didnt even know about that. If you're completely new to something without much experience it does take time to be comfortable with it.

Bro they are the third largest economy in the world and their kink industry is the biggest known to mankind if I daresay; it's not a fair comparison to apply their standards to ours when we're just a tiny red dot. Ours is a freelance system with arbitrary rules althogether while in theirs you start out as a baby domme gettting mentored by a senior doing doubles FOC before you're determined to be able to fly solo.
I believe I know who you might be referencing too and disclaimer I have not met any of them yet. I would say that only we can judge if they are worthy of mentoring based on the quality of the session provided by the juniors and I haven't seen a FR for that group yet so let's see. To be fair Amber is one of the more mature dommes, has been doing this for a long time and from what I recall, is or was one of the leaders in one of the local kink groups.
