I think that guy walk into the hotel 1 (walk in rate).
Walk in rate sure expensive.
Carrot walk into their hotel, sure they will chop.

Next time, you should follow me to Formusa Hotel.
The rate is only SG$53.

Alternative is to surf the internet for the info when you need it. There are internet cafes in Batam too. Some even got free hot spots. Try nagoya hill, "the fountain icecream" has hot spot for internet.

Amazing. Even not-so-developed Balai (Maxi htl ) have teletext in their Sup room at S$41/- per nite. Tot could check info (w/o lap top) in own room with teletext in comfort. Tks bro for nagoya hill info.

After Feb, I need not to be in Viet for a month liao.
