Hehehe...i was once a newbie and i still am in some ways. Still got a lot to learn when i visit Batam. Check out my signature if you have time,its like my Batam diary...lol...when i read it,i feel so dumb over my own mistakes...lol.

I totally agree with u . Nagoya was a small dusty town with houses like S'pore in the 1960s. The hotel I stayed in had no running water and had to pump from waters containers from the ground floor....but fortunately, the aircon was working. The FRs here are giving me a good reason for a trip

My latest experience in Batam for the discerning traveller:

1. Stayed at Swissbelhotel Harbourbay - I was very happy with the room, although the lobby was a bit of a disappointment. Other than the resorts which are far away I think you would be hard pressed to find a better hotel. Room service was cheap, service in general was slowish although I think is more to do with indonesia than the hotel.

2. We went to M1 KTV both nights, this place was much better than Pacific Palace in every way, it was almost next to the hotel, there was no extra 500,000 that they tried to levy on us on Saturday, it was a flat 1.5mil min spend no extra room fee. There's a private bed room and dinning room and toilet.. all very clean and in great condition. the girls however are another thing... but I think this is the typical batam standard.. also cheaper at 300k instead of 500k at Pacific. But they do close at 4.

3. We tried octopuss spa it was crap... a/c was not working throughout the place, they watch tv while massaging you... we went back to Delta on the 2nd day... much better overall experience wise.

Next time I go I would want to try Billiards centre pub and ktv, looks great in the pics, have to see in person.

Can understand sluggish service to be a shortcoming. But how is lobby (decor/state) a factor to one's pleasant stay/sleep-over at the hotel.

The real planning is up to you,you may also pay about S$30 for a temporary stay (overnight stay) at City View Hotel with your girl you book. Whether you stay overnight or not is entirely up to you,but the girl you book is usually for overnight (same for the hotel),meaning you will need to send her off when you decide to leave.

For your info,City View Hotel is just beside New Berry fuck joint,opposite New Berry is Hana Hotel which is very new (and nice too)which will cost about S$36 for a night stay. If you look at those FRs i linked. Most would give fuck joint a miss for day trip becos if you book girls from fuck joint,it is likely that you may need to book a room. On the other hand,you may also check with New Berry OKTs if they provide short time (ST). If they provide,then no need to book hotel room.

As for Delta Spa,they have facilities like sauna there which you can kill your time with. You may wish to do some shopping before you head back as Nagoya Hill Mall is just opposite Delta Spa. All of these plus lunch and dinner should be enough for a day,hehehe...

Hehehe...so far you havent try anything more than 7N6D? There is always 30 days VOA whereby you can choose to stay longer. I am not you,but if i am..i would have drawn a higher budget and stayed longer than the 7N6D if my country were to be so far away. Especially so when you already know most of Batam's "places of interest" and have your very own hotspot favourite places. (reminds me i over-stayed in China,GZ beyond the 14 day period w/o a visa...lol)

Happy time in Batam always pass off very quickly (even for my 3D2N or 4D3N)...lol.

Not too sure about New Berry, but Indah 2 does provide ST on-premise. The rooms are on Level 2... Never tried it myself before, but I heard that the rooms are very spartan... Damage-wise, should be half of the gal's LT booking rate..

Delta spa got no FJ, so if wanna look for a full service spa with everything, Octopuss or Atalanta spa will be better options...

Thanks bro. Just saw ur reply after I got here. Since no time, checked into batam star (only 225k) and 2min stroll to gold bird. asked for 5hr take away uncle say same price as overnite. I say ok but only 4 dinosaurs here. Contemplating between banhing a dinosaur vs walking to another joint..

Bro is there another joint within walking distance from gold bird? Will report how it goes haha

There is Orchid Massage near by,booking is 600k but i think you may not like their girls as most are MILF...its 5 mins walk around Gold Bird. Go,go,go...find out where is Good way Hotel.
