Re: Geylang for Chinese speaking Singaporeans, Orchard Towers for foreigners and othe

The most funny I heard is when these "banana spirits" try to pretend they are Chinese... That's really sad.

I know some girls, they tell me the guy use google translate to pretend they can understand mandarin but I mean it's like fail lah.

And some online FLs I know (don't ask me how I know them), they specify that they do not take non-Chinese bros, but these "banana spirits" still show up and insist they are half Chinese and half "banana spirit", and get angry when the girl reject them.

Freaking joke of the year when you pay $$$ but the girl still don't wanna accept your smelly dick in her pussy.

Oh, and some massage parlor girls also complain that they don't accept some "banana spirit" customers as they been know to argue about price or sometimes even try to run away after services are given.

Is this just my imagination that BronzeGod is making borderline racist comments? BronzeGod is absolutely correct in that speaking the language could add a lot of fun. It is also true that foreign customers often cause troubles (perhaps due to communication problems). In Japan and Korea, for example, most respectful establishments wouldn't accept foreign customers at all for this reason.

Having said that, I think BronzeGod is probably crossing the line with his borderline racist comments. There are many disrespectful foreigners (yes, I am having problems with the rude Europeans living next to my Condo who are having a party every fucking Friday!!! I learned that Singapore Police won't and can't do anything about it because I live in a private condo. I will need to resolve this with a baseball bat in the near future.). But there are many decent ones (I want to think of myself as one). At the same time, there are many idiotic mandarin speakers as well.

The whole point about this community is to get information. The information I found here was very helpful to me, which I am grateful. I also helped several Singaporean members who were planning to visit Japan and Korea (my main playground). So we help each other here. Mr. BrozeGod, if you were to go to Korea, you would probably want to check out some board there, and want to get some information. How would you feel that the Korean posters there say that Chinese should stay away from the Korean mongering places? There are many Korean idiots who would do that, and I resent them.

This is a "fucking (literally) community", and why don't we keep that spirit? The world is getting flat. According to the recent stat, over 30% of Geylang customers are foreigners, after all. Without them, the whole industry will collapse--so will your fun

Thought I'd post this to lend a hand and make things clear to foreign or non-chinese speaking bros to save you all the trouble and heartache of navigating Geylang.

Hmmmmmmm.....definetely non chinese, can't speak a word of mandarin, not singaprean either, but the one time I visit geylang to try the cat 150 both okt and girl welcome me. They serve me well.

Did try PRC in HK and Jakarta (which have a lot of Chinese descendant and mandarin speaking) also have no problem.

But who am I to challenge a (Bronze) God?

Could you direct me to where you got your stats from? I find them highly interesting.

Thank you.

I also find that stat puzzling. I have cheong CAT 50, CAT 100 and CAT 150 from lorong 6 to the upper lorongs. The only foreigners I run into at the legal houses so far are the banglah, Jap and Ang Mo. Got so much as 1/3 of GL legal business?

Re: Geylang for Chinese speaking Singaporeans, Orchard Towers for foreigners and othe

Total nonsense. I don't speak a word of mandarin and have always gotten great service in Geylang.

I've had PRCs asking me words in English, I've recently had a PRC use a smartphone translator, but mostly talking isn't required.

Yes, I agree that speaking mandarin is better, you get more out of it, the same is true about speaking japanese in Japan, etc. But sending foreigners to OT is just typical foreigner hate. How can you possibly, honestly recommend OT when in a legal Geylang house you have health checks, fixed prices and security, everything is legal and the police will never knock on your door?

Anyway - having lived in many countries in the world, let me share a fact about Singapore - as opposed to Japan and Korea for example, in Singapore your money is good anywhere - and that's not going to change, so let's just get along, okay?

Well-Said. I totally agree with you. I also lived in 3 continents and 5 countries, and you are absolutely correct about MONEY being respected in Singapore.

Anti-foreigner sentiment is growing in Singapore:

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/80-per-cent...--y--poll.html

Perhaps this tread is a tip of this growing anti-foreigner movement. I hope we could get along as Redcanary said....

I must apologize for presenting a statistic that is not official. Actually I read that stat in this forum in the past (that post also had a link to an external article), but I don't seem to be able to locate the post nor the article.

But it is reasonable to deduct that a substantial portion of geylang customers are foreigners. For one, almost 50% of workers in Singapore are foreigners. See the following article:

http://www.salary.sg/2012/45-percent...re-foreigners/

Also many article points out that Geylang caters foreign labor force:

http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/worl.../05/2003497438

It may be true that the majority of customers for CAT150 are Singaporeans; most of the ladies in this category are from China (Chinese speaking) and the foreign labor workers may not be able to afford this expensive category. But if you go down to $50 or so, the portion of foreign customers will increase dramatically. As far as I understand, one of the purposes of Geylang is to serve foreign workforce.

Again, I may be incorrect and I also doubt there would be any official statistics. So please take this as such.
