haha...no newbies marrying VB so nothing to discuss...also that day read Singapore only has 3k Viet brides...thought the figure may be higher...but surprised to hear so few...

starting to hear more Tieng Viet near my house...saw quite a few chat loudly when walking home and to interchange...started only last couple of month..

Ya, also thought the figure shld be higher. Recently seeing more n more vietnamese in neighbourhoods. Saw a few when i was window shopping with my wife in a shopping centre in the west. Even saw a couple of them working in neighbourhood coffeeshops.

3k should be those registered.

But I don't think that figure is inclusive of those who are married in Vietnam but not registered here. Some older generation husbands might think their properties and assets might be counted in if they get a divorce in Vietnam....

I do encounter a friend who did not registered in Singapore. 50+ of age, bx 19yrs old. He don't want to leave anything to her if divorce or he met mishap.

do you know that the singapore court will recognise the ROM in Vietnam...dun know what you are thinking...
