I totally disagree with you. Your explanation "i am a parent" and "rebellious and ungrateful" itself carry the answer. You are taking your kids a liability. Did anyone including those kids beg you to have them? No. Did they ask you to must have them? A big No. You decided to have kids, so, it is your responsibility and duty to house them as long as they decide to leave you (yes, its their right to leave you whenever they want and you have fucking no moral grounds to cry). It is your duty (dont ever think you do a favor) to feed them, educate them, pay fees, house them, etc. Now people must step forward and break this shit mindset of parents which is the evil of everything. Why parents think its their moral and legal right that kids will treat them well, fullfill their desires, must follow their words, pay attention all the time in old age when they did not fullfill any of these when they have the power. Yes, majority of the parents take kids as slaves, dictate each and every decision, give no choice of choosing, force them to follow them blindly and do whatever they want. Why do they have expectations when they have no decision power? Feeding kids or housing them is not a favor, its your duty. If you dont fullfill your duty, you commit a crime.
