There's plenty of wisdom in what you wrote. Yes, it is common to think that if I strike the big prize, my life can turn around. But even if you don't strike the big prize, you can start to turn your life around now. Like your $150 example. It's a good example. If $150 can provide that small moment of joy, why not. Then you work hard to afford that $150, and before long your life has turned the corner
