By right, if u are staying in Thailand for more than 60 days, u need to convert to Thai license... but most foreigners go by left. Just be careful, insurance might not cover in case of mishap or whatever.
Converting to Thai license is easy... just prepare the documents posted in the net, go for 3 stations test, watch a video and u will get your tmp Thai driving license. I dunno whether u need to take the so called basic theory test as there are changes recently.
