Usually if masturbate too much, the effect should be opposite, find it hard to cum or too slow to cum during real sex..
that's what happened to me and when I cut down on masturbation, I realise I got more excited during sex and I come more easily and often. Maybe due to "pent-up" excitement? 
Regardless, I would say, go with cutting down on mast and it helps
