As a semi-regular gym-goer, I'd say that most guys at the gym are quite friendly, and will help with any questions about equipment that you have. Also, you might want to research on diet first, because for weight loss, it's always more on diet than on specific exercise (at the stats you gave). Lastly, before going to the gym, you can start by doing bodyweight exercises (don't look down on them, I can do weights at gym, go back reservist do 5BX exercises also can shag). Start with basics, knee pushup, crunches, squats, lunges, jumping jacks. Do 30 seconds of each, and then repeat for a total of 5 sets. Total less than 20 minutes, with one minute or less rest between sets. Feel free to ask if you have more questions, but I have to say I'm not a fitness instructor, just someone who's trying to keep fit. |
