Which sammyboy forum address to use without VPN? [Archive]

Currently using https://www.sbf.rocks and able to surf it without the need for a VPN up till last night.

Now it requires a VPN to access.

Any other sammyboy forum addresses that are working currently, that can be accessed without the need for a VPN?

Any new URL will eventually be blocked. Thus, u w still need to resort to use of VPN

You don't need a VPN if you install https://1.1.1.1

if you're only trying to bypass IMDA blocking, just change your DNS at your mobile / desktop / browser / router will do.

That's what https://1.1.1.1 does. It automatically configures the cloudflare DNS and the advantage is that it works for mobile data too.

It makes all websites load more quickly because the cloudflare dns is far better than the ISP's dns.

A DNS server is just like a phone directory.

Typing 74.125.24.102 in your browser is the same as typing www.google.com

But it is easier to remember the domain name rather than the number. Just like phone number, it is easier to remember your friend's name rather than his/her number.

There are many DNS servers on line, some major ones that I know of are 1.1.1.1 4.4.4.4 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

All ISP will have their own DNS server.

How IMDA works is to ask all the local ISP to block all the undesirable website on their end via DNS. So if you type in say SBF.NET.NZ, your ISP detects it via their DNS and blocks it.

However if you change your DNS to the above mentioned, you will directly go to the website as the DNS server will able to translate the domain name to IP addresses.

Another way of doing it is at browser level as many browsers now have DNS of HTTPS as part of their privacy settings.

Thanks for sharing and guiding. Alternatively, google free VPN also solve all the problem.

Free VPNs tend to slow things down as bandwidth is limited.

Using DNS over HTTPs actually makes things faster.

You're resourceful enough to make it here and very likely half a dozen other porn related and dodgy video sites but not willing to protect yourself with a vpn or even use a dns that's not your isp?

I use opera which has an in built VPN and it is user friendly too. Heard firefox has one which u can install as well

I had used 1.1.1.1. on DNS for almost 10 years on my laptop and worked well...:)

Outside I will use Brownsec VPN to surf and works well...Brownsec VPN works as an extension in Chrome...:)

I've stopped configuring new domains they don't last long.

Traffic is still excellent so I'll leave things as they are for the time being and see how it goes.

95% of those who visit the site are already using VPNs or other censorship circumvention methods to go to pornhub, xhamster etc.

if die die want vpn, sign up for protonmail. it comes with free vpn. a real one instead of those that exist as browser extensions.

After install, leave it “On” all the time then no need worry anything liao.

Note that you don't have to turn on "warp" in order to bypass any censorship attempts. However turning it on provides an extra level of security for all transactions over your phone eg internet banking.
