Is Cupping or Guasha beneficial or effective?

Just want to share something. I had some free birthday voucher at a clean massage outlet in a mall. Like free 20 or 30 minutes thing if u take up 60 minute massage..so i went.

The session has cupping, which I have not do before (sorry, very noob. haha)

For some reason I was curious and opted for it. It was a weird feeling as i felt my whole body was sucker fishes. hahaha..then there is this guasha which uses some plastic blade to rub, and there is some red spots emitted. I was told the red spots are for detox.

For cupping, it is to make the thicker blood float to the top of the skin, and the body will remove it in due course.

Okay, after that, I went to bang my GF..holy shit..I cum pretty fast and she was shocked as well. To be honest, I felt that my body becomes very light, like some lactic acid has been removed. I felt my body become more sensitive too. For my case, I usually will bang her a good 20 minutes..longest was 30-40 minutes but just now, I cum within 10 minutes. Of course she was happy la.

Does anyone experience the same effect? Or is it just some placebo effect?

Effective for sure. Ah boh u see even Olympic swimmers use cupping.

It does have an effect for me as well. It is always good and never bad on the body if the ML can execute it well. If not be prepared for burns and blisters (just google them and u will get what I mean)

Ba guan (cupping) and gua sha will definitely leave marks on the body one, it's not the ml anyhow do or don't know what to do. But personally will suggest going to a proper TCM rather than getting a ml to do it

You go those chain tcm ones, should be safe enough, as they have some qualification.

Some tcm-flavoured massage shops besides offering the cupping and guasha also offer acupuncture :eek: but just imagine what confidence will you have if the shop MLs also offer HJ :D

Not many actually, and even so, it is done hushed hushed so the enjoyment may not be there if the customer wants to roam, suck nipples and strip the ML.

Gua Sha is known as "Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation" or IASTM in the western world, and is used by some physiotherapists.

You can google youtube for IASTM and you'll see a ton of videos on it. There are even specialised instruments you can buy to use, although for self guasha you can use a butter knife, porcelain spoon etc. A systematic review (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31322903/)shows that it does work to improve range of movement.

I been to this yu sheng an massage at jalan besarbesar. totally clean place , they have this gua sha / cupping in the menu that uses a device that sucks with heat.
One of the best gua sha i have ever tried.

But it's not cheap. If i remember correctly it's an additional $48 for 1/2 hr

But joke aside. If you really want to feel the benefit of cupping or Gusha, it should be a gradual and long process.
Cupping usually compliment with acupuncture to release toxic blood and gas accumulated in our body arises from unhealthy diet, smoking, prolonged unhealthy and inaccurate posture.

The first few session of after-effect of cupping would usually left dark-red cupping mark. As the session continues for a certain period, the colour would lighten to flesh-fainted red.

Of course, TCM emphasise on long, slow, in & out tonic enhancement such as tonic or herbal nourishment.

For brothers who have tried traditional acu-point massage would usually ended with a cupping. The feeling sure good. A feeling of detoxifying.

All these briefed info was shared by my certified-TCM doc.

Cupping is usually for release of the "bad wind" in your body, which is mainly due to long time in air con areas.
these "bad winds" will cause your veins or tendons to knot up (blood clot) thus causing the "lao shun" as they called it.
cupping done correctly and at the correct spot you will feel very itchy and maybe some moisture in that cup due to the sucking of the "wind"

Fire cupping is the more traditional method of cupping but the suction is way more powerful then using the plastic suction cups.
its sucks out the wind faster so it shouldn't be used for a extended period of time. (thus the burns and blisters)

Guasha is more of releasing the heatiness in your body. most people do it when they have a very bad flu and yet can't sweat it out.
the tool used is usually made of bone not plastic. if your masseuse is using a plastic 1, you probably gonna cry cos it's gonna burn the skin when rubbing.
my regular masseuse will do it for me when my body gets reddened very fast from the normal massage. (that's a sign of heatiness)

1 other method is the zhou guan (running cup) which they use the suction cap and do guasha with it. do not try it if your pain threshold is low. :o

why i know so much cos i used to have a knot on my shoulder thats was pressing on my nerve already and causing my whole left arm to be numb
i was going for blood letting on that knot weekly to relieve the numbness.
my tcm told me that it's not advisable to let blood weekly and the option is either go for an operation to remove the knot or find a good masseuse who can knead the knot away after blood letting.

luckily i was able to find 1 masseuse in JB that time so i was like running to JB weekly for like 2 months just to clear off that stubborn knot.

dun ask me for the JB masseuse cos she already retired. :(
