Immediate prediction? CB lockdown kena extend another 14 days at least. Not a single country in the world has given a firm lockdown end date and stuck to it. Malaysia extended twice. UK wants to extend one more month. Its nuts.

Most Singaporeans are overstretched paying for significantly overpriced property.
A 30s couple paying $1.8 million for a condo?
Very common.
Retrenchment and loan defaulting will be very high.
Banks will repossess.
Properties will lelong.
On the flip side of the coin, retrenched FTs.
Hooray! Say the xenophobic Bo liao Singaporeans.
But they forget that FTs rent out their property.
@$2800 for a 5 room HDB.
Will be empty after this with no takers.
So the complaint queen rent-seeking aunty will have to actually work for a living, rather than stay at home collecting rent.
Plus, she'll be over extended and have to sell her HDB cheap to avert bankruptcy...

In the meantime, US is considering to reopen its economy. I think SG will follow US than other countries...

Agree with you. Up until the 6th line. Lol. Sg property market will crash. Not now. Wait till Sg enters a recession which is almost guaranteed. Not then. Wait till unemployment spike. Not then too. Wait till banks start repossessing private properties. Then the trend will be established. I reckon 2 - 3 years from now at the very least. Older folks who been through recession cycles will know how it works. And this is a global recession far worse than the 1997 Asian financial crisis or the 2008 US sub prime mortgage crisis. Go figure :)

If stock market is as good as you say..... why is Temasek quietly letting go shares from their portfolio? Need to raise funds for the HSK packages?

Anyway my broker advised me to wait a little longer as market sentiments are the bear will take another tumble.

If extension is necessary, why nuts?

IMF announced world entered recession, and the average duration of recession is about 18 months, this could be the beginning of a long harsh winter...

If extension is necessary, why nuts?

Possible Death by virus vs definite financial and economic hardship by a world economy forced to shut down from the virus.

This is a surprisingly more difficult choice to make than those who would scream "LIVES MATTER MORE THAN MONEY" would have you believe.
