last time i can access using http://216.65.64.110.
i think its call ip address lah!

now become some page 4 charbor dressing up their husband!

so anyone got the new address 4 this forum?

you may tried nslookup www.sammyboyforum.com or u can do a tracert to www.sammyboyforum.com and see whether it works if not i think ur company has totally block the port for website sammyboyforum!good luck!u may up me if u like once u can access the website via IP address!
juz go click start and choose run and at the command prompt key in nslookup www.sammyboyforum.com and u will see the ip address below or tracert to www.sammyboyforum.com u oso can see the ip address !its that simple!:)

bro, u can find out the ip address of any website using command prompt.

type ping www.sammyboyforum.com and press enter.

it will trace the IP address u wanted for that particular website...

here the ip address 216.65.76.62.

Normally if your company's IT department is any good, it will ban the site's ip not the site's address.

Maybe your company has updated their blocking policy to implement a full block of this wonderful site.

There are actually a few ways to access banned site though. For example use remote desktop/ VPN to your home computer then access that way (you are accessing through your home computer).

hm..no need vpn for him..as its a bit troublesome for him to set up vpn...u can use VNC (Virtual newtwrok computing)provided his home pc runs on static ip but in spore for broadband users i dun think so..!since he ever use ip add to access sammyboyforum...juz let him try as 1st level support above has given him the ip address by pinging...!

If your company block it, they prob got good reason to do it.
So just abstain from surfing in office, and do that at home in your own privacy.

Coz if they block it, most likely they would track employee usage as well. Don't want anyone to get into any trouble do we. :)

To find the IP address of any domain, just do a lookup. :rolleyes:

http://ip-lookup.net/domain-lookup.php

I'm not in the IT line either. If I want of find out something, I simply look up the subject on the internet and do the necessary research.

Heh, well provided he want to pay for my air ticket back to Singapore and pay the charges my company put for getting a senior project manager to do house call, I'm absolutely fine with it!

Moreover who said VPN are hard to setup? Its even easy to get your company's IT department to set one up for you. Excuse like "accessing work files from home computer" is generally easy to get approved. It might even impress your boss that you actually work at home instead of surfing porns in your free time. ;)

But I'd like to say that by mentioning Remote Desktop it should include VNC which is almost the same thing anyway. Though you will find most VNC packages are slow as hell that you are better off doing microsoft's free remote desktop.

Note that most company's firewall policy/ proxy server policies block sites with sex, fuck, ass, etc etc as keyword. If that the case any sites with those content/ words in it will be block. Look at the title of SBF. ;) The easy way is as I say, use VPN/ VNC/ Remote Desktop to your home computer and access if you really have to access those sites.

As mentioned by me above, most company's IT department will ban the whole ip address(es) of the illegal sites, so you should then try the VPN/ VNC/ Remote Desktop method.

Some firewall admin, being lazy overpaid ass might also just implement a site address ban, ie banning of the site name instead of ip. (This is what I suspect the people of sadfa company did.) This is easy to circumvent, just use ip address to access the site.

IF however your IT department are any good, it will generally block EVERYTHING except sanctioned websites (ie company approved sites). If thats the case, you can either apply to your IT department to let you access certain websites or you can leave the wanking/ porns to your home time.

Hope this is makes things clearer.

This does not make much sense man, his IT department is smart enough to configure group policy to prevent remote access to a PC outside the company and not smart enough to configure the firewall to block IPs instead of domain name? Must be rather dodgy if thats the case. And he have not come back to us whether he can access in his office yet? Though VBscripts methods is perhaps the most hasslefree one I reckon.
