Dear all, the purpose of my thread is to share some personal experience on this STD, the reason i am sharing this is because I DID NOT engage in any sexual intercourse or oral sex but i still got this STD. Here's the background of my story:

Sometime in April, i felt that there was an itch that didnt go away even after urinating, ejaculating, scratching. the itch was from the urethra and deep into the testicles. i thought i had UTI as i did not engage in any "real" sexual activities. However after 1 week of non stop itching, i went to the doc and i was diagnosed with chlamydia, no hiv, no gonorrhoea. my "sexual" encounters were:

1. Mutual masturbation with a girl i met at a club. she masturbated herself, then for me, and i did it for her and for myself, there was a high possibility of an exchange of bodily fluids.

2. visited a MP, and the lady used a lubricant to rub her own clit (so i could finger her better) before helping me jerk off with her hands.

these were the only 2 encounters that were sexual i had 8 months prior to my positive chlam diagnosis. there was no saliva, no intercourse, no incident of both our privates coming into direct contact.

YET, i got diagnose with Chlamydia. Well, it was a very easy to cure STD, just took 1 dosage of antibiotics and i was well within the next week, however, the thought of a positive STD really made me feel damn shitty.

im not trying to disprove any scientific or medical claims on the transmission of this STD, but the doctor insisted i had some form of intercourse or oral. but i clearly didnt. so, nothing is 100 percent safe!

just sharing my story...

I am sorry to hear what happened to you. And I am glad you shared this story.

I completely agree with you that it is possible (not probable) to get an STD from a handjob. I personally have seen a case of Gonorrhea from a handjob. Theoretically speaking, hands can transmit STD infected fluids from genital to genital.

Let me share a bit from the doctor's perspective. When we see a patient with your kind of symptoms and exposure history, we are kind of in a conundrum. To test or not to test? If we do not test, we can easily miss out a diagnosis like yours. However, situations like yours are rare.

So most cases will test negative. Which then opens up doctors to accusations of over-testing for revenue generation.

I guess the lesson for everyone is if you have symptoms of an STD, even if you do not think you are at risk, it is still best to go see your doctor.

Yes lab test positive. I did ask my doctor could it be any sexual encounters I had with a previous partner (my ex) that I last had sex with 8 months before the positive lab test., he say it is possible but very u likely because symptoms usually show 2-4 weeks post infection. The doctor I went to (kind of a specialist in STD) told me it's unlikely the symptoms will lay dormant for so long. But apparently the doctor at first didn't feel there was a need to test based on my encounters, but I insisted as I wanted treatment asap if it were really ghonorrea or chlam. Turns out it really was chlam. I believe even though there was no direct contact, the lubricant as well as bodily fluids were enough to transmit the disease.

I'm sharing this mainly because I hope people realize that even if u didn't receive Bj or engage in FJ, protected or not protected, you are still at risk. Especially if u are not sure of ur partners sexual history and ur dick feels weird after 1-2 weeks of the act.

I'm not condemning participating in casual "vice" act, but just hope that all bros who cheong take care of their health. I still Cheong, but I try to make sure there isn't any direct or indirect contact of genitals.

i also been infected with chlamydia after hv unprotected sex with a girl. thinking that she was young /local girl and i feel safe not to use cd.

well big mistakes. after around 2 weeks noticed discharge from my didi and damn itchy too. went to see doc. get a jab and antibiotics.

well your case like the bacteria lay dormant for 8 months is quite hard to believe. hmm... unless you got it unintentionally like touched infected fluids.

do you stay alone or rent a house with your friends. any of your friends that stay with you also got sick??

Hi,

i stay alone, and none of my friends got sick of any kind. ya unlikely it lay dormant for so long. so i believe it is the mutual masturbation that caused the exchange of bodily fluids. the doctor couldnt really explain my case also, cos i didnt actually have sex (neither intercourse nor oral, and def not anal). i didnt get a jab, just one strong dosage of zithromax. the itch went away very fast, like 2-3 days after taking the meds.

anyway just a follow up on what happened after. i spoke to the girl i met at the club (never contacted the ML) and told her i got chlamydia, may be from her may not be from her but regardless shes at risk already. but she was scared of seeing doctor so my doctor prescribe me an additional set of meds for the "partner" and i passed it to her and the med was about S$70 or so (i duno if this is actually allowed). this girl did complain she experience UTI like infections very often, but usually doctors just see it as normal UTI, never suspect any STD. she goes for regular check up also (we spoke a lot after the incident cos apparently she was scared as fuck as well), including pap smear etc, but i doubt it would have picked up any nasty STD other than HPV.

maybe is previous partner, no symptoms. then afterward got NGU or UTI thats why cause itching and symptoms start to show

thats possible as well. i did ask my doc if i got it long ago but symptoms were dormant. theoretically speaking it is possible, but very unlikely (thats what he said). regardless, i read that "Chlamydia is a bacterial infection spread through semen and vaginal fluid", so it is very possible that the girl's fluid would have entered my body when we mutual masturbated and self masturbated several rounds, so there was definitely exchange of bodily fluids

Bottom line there is always an element of risk in terms of catching STD if you engage in such activities. It is your choice if you want to proceed.
