Sexordie you have downloaded a wrong file by accident... Link shorterners love to spam advertisements and occasionally an unwanted file may be downloaded deliberately by an advertiser. It's like when downloading from a file sharing site, there's always ALOT of "Download" buttons and only 1 leads to the actual file :D
Always be vigilant when downloading files, I've frequently encountered fake downloads when trying to download legitimate files too.
