But his real name is Azuar Ahamad, and there was always one goal in his mind – to drug the women and later molest or rape them. Sometimes, he would also use his mobile phone to film himself raping the women, grabbing their breasts or fondling their genitals.
His sordid deeds came to light on Tuesday (7 Aug) in High Court when he pleaded guilty to raping three women and sexually assaulting a fourth.
The Straits Times reported that there were 30 other charges taken into account, including theft, two other rapes, two sexual assaults and 14 cases of outrage of modesty. All will be taken into consideration during his sentencing, which will be done after further hearing.
The former logistics executive committed the crimes between July 2008 and June 2009, and the women were aged between 18 and 41.
Lianhe Wanbao also reported that most of the victims had no recollection of what he did to them until the police came knocking on their doors. Others got suspicious when they spoke to Azuar after they were violated, and then went to the police.
In court, the prosecution revealed that Azuar would pretend to be a professional, such as a dentist or business coordinator, and would tell the women that he was going overseas to lure them out for drinks.
The Straits Times reported that he would find the women through a Facebook application called SpeedDate, set up a date at a nightspot, drug them, and take them to a hotel to rape or molest them before sending them home.
Azuar, who was also found to have forged his ex-wife's O- and A-level certificates to apply for a job, has been preying on women for a long time.
In 2003, he was sentenced to six years in jail after pleading guilty to 21 charges, including molest, threatening and spiking drinks, Lianhe Wanbao reported.
The court heard that in 2009 alone, Azuar was arrested three times for outraging the modesty of women and administering stupefying drugs to women.
The first arrest that year was in February, when he was suspected of drugging a woman at a Bishan cafe. He was released on S$30,000 bail.
In July 2009, he was arrested again for outraging a woman's modesty. He got out on a S$40,000 bail.
The third time was in August 2009, for outraging the modesty of a woman at a hotel in Balestier. His bail was revoked, The Straits Times reported.
Police found video clips stored on his two mobile phones showing him raping or sexually assaulting women, as well as pictures of many naked women in an unconscious state. They also found the phone numbers of some of the victims in his phone.
Given his abhorring record, the prosecution has asked the court to sentence him to 45 years in jail, as he poses a threat to the society and the public, and that he is not remorseful for his actions.
For each rape charge, he could be jailed up to 20 years and fined or caned.
Azuar, who is represented by lawyers under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, is denying that he administered stupefying drugs to the women that he sexually assaulted or raped. He is claiming that they drank themselves unconscious.
Lianhe Wanbao reported that the prosecution said that they would summon seven doctors who would testify that he obtained sedatives from them under false pretenses, as well as an experienced pharmacist and four victims.
Victim 1
Azuar asked a 38-year-old business assistant out for drinks by claiming to be a business coordinator who was going to the US for further study. The woman lost consciousness after drinks and was taken to a hotel.
When she woke up, she found that she was wearing just her panties and that he was lying beside her in his boxers. She went to the toilet to throw up and had diarrhoea as well. He sent her home later.
Once she has recovered, she contacted him to find out what happened. He told her that she was very drunk and vomited over her clothes. He claimed to have taken off her bra to make her feel more comfortable. The woman stopped asking as she felt embarrassed.
Victim 2
He contacted a 34-year-old bank employee using two fake names and took her to a hotel after plying her with drinks.
He filmed himself touching her breasts and privates and raping her.
The woman woke up at her friend’s house and contacted him immediately. He told her that she threw up in the car so he took her to a hotel nearby to clean up.
As she was properly dressed and she did not feel any pain in her groin area, she did not suspect any foul play. Later, she received a hotel bill of S$105. As the signature on the bill did not belong to her, she did not need to pay for it.
He tried to ask her out again later, but she rejected him.
Victim 3
He told a 29-year-old bank employee that he was a dentist who was going to the US to further his studies and asked to meet up with her.
After their date, the woman woke up at her home and called him. He lied that she had kissed him while she was drunk and gave him oral sex. When the woman pressed further, he tried to change the topic.
He continued to contact the woman later and even pretended that he was calling from overseas.
He asked the woman to meet up again by lying that he was in town for a wedding. He touched her in a taxi and she stopped contacting him after that.
Victim 4
He asked to meet an insurance agent at a nightclub and spilled a drink on her top. When she returned from the washroom, he offered her a drink.
He sent her home afterwards and used his mobile phone to film himself molesting her. When the woman woke up, she discovered that she was not wearing any underwear and questioned him, but he responded with a series of lies.

A senior banker not only mistook the race of a man she got to know through SpeedDate on Facebook, but was even unaware that she was raped by him on their first date!
41 year old by Azuar Ahamad was charged in High Court today for raping and molesting 22 women he met just made.
He introduced himself as a ‘Shawn Tan’ to the senior banker whose identity is kept confidential under a court gag order and managed to deceive her into believing that he is a dentist working at a private hospital.
After meeting Azuar for a drink, she became unconscious after which he brought her to a hotel in Lavender Street and filmed himself raping her before checking out with her at 2am.
She woke up at home and when she called Azuar, he claimed she had been intimate with him. As she was unable to recall her love-making session with Azuar, she dropped the matter.
Only when she was called up by the police did she finally realize that he had raped her and filmed it.

SINGAPORE - Using drugs to render his victims helpless, Azuar Ahamad, 41, managed to take advantage of 22 women he met through a Facebook application called SpeedDate.
He would contact his victims, aged between 18 to 41, using the dating app, bring them to a nightspot, drug them and then proceed to sexually assault, rape or molest them before sending them home.
Azuar would even film himself sexually assaulting some of the women on his two cellphones.
The victims would have no recollection of the sexual assault after they woke up. If they called him, he would tell them they had drunk too much and passed out.
However some of the women, suspicious of his claims, reported him to the police.
Yesterday, the logistics executive pleaded guilty to raping three women and sexually assaulting a fourth between July 2008 and August 2009.
He also faces 30 other charges of rape, sexual assault, outrage of modesty and theft.
The prosecution is pushing for a jail sentence of 45 years. However, his sentencing has been postponed till after a further hearing, as Azuar claims that the women he took advantage of were unconscious because they were drunk, not drugged.
The prosecution said they will produce doctors who will testify that Azuar obtained sedatives from them under false pretences, and a pharmacist who will testify that the symptoms of the victims indicate that they were drugged.
