that is common. usually budget hotels will ask. however dont worry. do ensure your girl isnt underage before fj.

hope others give a better opinions.

I presume FL is in a budget hotel? Cos other hotels you should not even be going to the counter... it should be straight up to the room ah...

If budget hotel and you are the one booking, then yes, they will need your IC. I used to go with my FB who is PRC. She also has to show hers. Safest that way. Take it as quickie for a couple. Drive along Balestier Road and you will see quite a lot of such couples :D

And like the other bro said, make sure not underage.

by law both need to show IC or passport - it's perfectly legal for 2 consenting adults to share a room - this is really to stop underaged sex workers and helps to protect you as well

AV does not take down the IC to catch you but if the hotel don't have the IC of the guests they can lose their license
