SINGAPORE: The Whitley Neighbourhood Police Post will be converted into a one-stop Corruption Reporting Centre in December for the public to report suspected corrupt activities.
Located at 247 Whitley Road, near Stevens MRT station, the new reporting centre will make it more convenient for the public to walk-in and report suspected corrupt practices, the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a joint press release on Monday (Feb 22).
In January last year, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced the setting up of a one-stop centre as part of measures to keep Singapore’s anti-corruption culture alive.
A Heritage Gallery will also be set up in the Corruption Reporting Centre to allow members of the public to learn about Singapore’s zero tolerance stance towards corruption, the agencies said.
Whistle-blowers can continue to make reports at the CPIB’s headquarters at 2 Lengkok Bahru, or call the 24-hour hotline at 1800-376 0000 or lodge an online complaint at www.cpib.gov.sg (http://www.cpib.gov.sg).
The police post will cease operations next Monday and will be transferred to the CPIB. More details on the centre will be announced at a later date.
