An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
lets say u live a completely different live,totally different from what social norms dictate,completely isolated from the world 99.99 percent by far.lets say u are in prison or something,or a hobbit living in a hobbit cave somewhere living ur hobbit life minding ur own business cut off from society for a long long time.and so in happens u are sitting there in ur hobbit life on a thursday evening thinking what is going on in the outside world right now(which happens to be Singapore),the shopping centers are bustling right now,the supermarkets are busy selling you minced meat,fish and pork like they always do,and the trains are running like clockwork as they have always been for the past seventeen and the half years of ur hobbit life and u wonder what does it all matter?
what meaning do sinkies lives have?what does it matter if singapore runs like clockwork as it always does for the past thirteen or twenty one years?so what if the supermarkets are open as usual and the trains run like clockwork as it always been for the past seven,or thirteen or twenty seven years?
we live in the world of repeat cycle ad infinitum,we live in the twilight zone doomed to repeat our actions over and over like a clockwork train in a clockwork town where everything is fake and nothing is real,even the trains that go round and round our little town like mrt trains,the lives we live are not ours,there is no escape,we are doomed to repeat the same thing over and over again,like a space simulation that never ends,like ghost in a limbo who felt like they have been to this place before,like they have played this fantasy over for a thousand times,and they do,their souls doomed to forever repeat the final moments of death over and over again,they are quite unable to accept the facts and realities that they are long dead so they repeat their "final mission" over and over again hoping for a different outcome.
what meaning do sinkie lives have?what does it matter what singapore does in this twilight zone of a country where fact is stranger than fiction?it takes light from the stars millions of years to reach us,what we are seeing has already occured thousands of years ago,our lives will be over in a thousandth of a fraction of that.who will remember us then?who will even know we even existed?our lives are less valuable than dust.sinkies lives are meaningless and futile.
