WHY MALAYS ARE SO STUPID.
Today I’m going to talk about something very unpopular: race. More specifically, I’m going to talk about evolution and natural selection and their effects on a racial population’s development, and how they might apply in Malaysia. Now I want you to imagine two populations of mice of the same species, A and B. Population A is well-fed, kept warm, kept away from predators, and allowed to reproduce for generations. Population B is provided with limited food, constantly exposed to cold temperature, and some natural predators are released into their habitat to keep things interesting. Still, over generations, population B survived, despite losing members here and there to starvation, the cold, and of course predation. Population A only lost members to old age — in other words, they all lived through their natural life cycles. Even though populations A and B were of the same species in the beginning (and were “equal”), at the end of the experiment, populations A and B became radically different from one another.
Population A was pampered, with no selection pressure filtering its gene pool to ensure that only stronger individuals with superior genes survived to pass on their superior genes. In other words, population A didn’t improve its gene pool; any Tom, Dick, and Harry got to make babies, irrespective of their survival ability.
Population B, conversely, had constant selection pressures applied to it, which meant that weaker, less agile, and less intelligent members of its population will die out even before they got to pass on their inferior genes, e.g. turning the thermostat down will kill those who are not cold-resistant. When mice are shivering, they don’t care about reproduction, a higher need. They care about survival. Yet they eventually die before they were able to procreate, thus effectively eliminating those inferior genes from the gene pool. Only the cold-resistant, agile, and highly-intelligent mice survived and thrived long enough to have sex and pass on their superior genes. Over several generations, the gene pool became disproportionately skewed towards strong genes. Population B’s habitat was like a refinery that specifically keeps the good genes and gets rid of the poor genes in a population.
At the end of the experiment, populations A and B are mixed together and released into wilderness. Because population B carries only elite genes whereas population A carries all sorts of substandard genes, population B thrived over population A in many ways. Population B has survived hardship for generations, while population A didn’t even know hardship existed. Over time, not unexpectedly, population B became more capable of reproducing and taking care of children. Still, because of an abundance of food, land, and other needs, population A didn’t die out, yet the difference between the fortunes of populations A and B is truly stark. One is flourishing; the other is languishing.
Now, Away from Mice and Back to Humans
The Malays are like population A. Since time immemorial, they have lived in a comfortable warm equatorial climate with an abundance of sunlight, rain, greenery, rich soil, and a variety of flora and fauna that served as food — all year round. They never had to deal with natural disasters, sudden climate changes, and they didn’t even have tyrants, war lords, enemies from without, etc. making life difficult for them. All they had to do to survive — well enough to produce children — was to work a couple of hours each day in the paddy fields, planting/harvesting rice, or sea, trawling the fish-rich seas. Life has been easy, and in no point of their history did they need to struggle against something majorly survival-threatening. At the end of the day, they remained weak, just as weak as when they first started out.
On the other hand, the Chinese are like population B. For thousands of years, they have been subjected to iron-fist rules by unsympathetic, tyrannical emperors who figuratively and literally tortured the people. The climate was always unpredictable; in addition to the four seasons, there have been bouts of drought and extreme cold that made food cultivation difficult. Add to that a bunch of earthquakes, volcano eruptions, typhoons, famines, etc. Whoever’s left after rounds and rounds of such hardship for thousands of years, I tell you, probably deserved to survive and pass on their genes — they have earned their right to reproduce and leave their legacy in terms of offspring. Indeed the Chinese have fought for their right to exist for centuries, and it’s not a coincidence that the Chinese are considered one of the most entrepreneurial, hardworking, and intelligent people on earth.
The Europeans, the Americans, and the East Asians are considered highly-developed races. Why? Because temperate climate is not suited for food cultivation, which means that their population needs to struggle constantly just to survive, and survive well enough to produce children. The sub-Saharan Africans, Central/South Americans, and Southeast Asians tend to remain poor and backward. Why? Because tropical climate makes things too non-challenging for the people there. It’s like playing life on easy mode.
The Beginning of Envy
In the 1800s and 1900s, the Chinese from China were suddenly mixed with the evolutionarily-backward Malays. And the selected habitat? The comfortable, cosy tropical land of Malaya, which was considered super-easy mode for these Chinese. We’re not talking about any Chinese — we’re talking about the cream of the crop: hard-striving, highly-intelligent, highly-entrepreneurial top dogs who had the guts to leave a huge sinking boat like China and make their own luck in some foreign land, bringing nothing along. So not only were the Chinese a generally superior population, we’re talking about the top echelons from Fujian and Guangdong coming into Malaya.
Of course the Chinese thrived superbly in Malaya. It’s only to be expected. In China, they only managed to be poor peasants, and little else. In Malaya, whooooooo… They became tin magnates, business tycoons, and, at the very least, independent business owners of some sort. They definitely became more than capable of producing children, and damn did they produce A LOT of children.
Now, of course the Malays became jealous of the Chinese. We just suddenly showed up and made loads of money in just a few years, in their land (WHAT AUDACITY!), becoming really prosperous, while they who have been sitting on those lands for centuries didn’t even manage to come close to that level of wealth and success. Because they were still the majority, political power naturally remained in their hands by virtue of democracy. That was the only thing they had left. If they lost political power, they’re finished as a race; the Chinese will eat them out alive and spit them out into the Straits of Malacca to find refuge in Sumatra.
Using that political power, they of course tried to rectify their feelings of envy. They went, “Hmm, we need to make it more difficult for the Chinese, so that they don’t become so prosperous.” They hope, of course, to address the economic inequality forcibly, via policy, not realizing that making things difficult for us is what made us thrive in the first place. You won’t be able to subdue us just with some artificial obstacles; we’re a people built for and from hardship. The Malay leaders know that the Malays will die out if allowed to compete freely with the Chinese, because, genetically at a population level, the Malays and Chinese are at very different evolutionary stages.
This protective mentality has defined the Malay struggle ever since foreign immigration was allowed in the 1800s by the British. They have this siege mentality, where everyone who doesn’t look like them is trying to steal their rice bowl. As a race, they’re defensive and exclusive, because they knew exactly what would happen if the Chinese are left to their own devices — a very deep, humiliating, and deeply-humiliating economic divide.
And I’m talking about the vast majority of Malays, not just UMNO-aligned Malays. Look at the Pakatan Malays, and you will see the same thinking (a shrewd observation by Samuel Teng). No Malay will agree to the abolition of Article 153 of the Constitution and equal rights and opportunities for all races, EXCEPT the Malays who are already genetically-superior and know they can compete without crutches (possibly just the top 5 percent). The rest are just really scared of being decimated by a population that — through no fault of its own anyway — is just so good at surviving, making money, and getting what they want in life.
We Never Belonged in Malaysia, and We Never Will
So my fellow Chinese, this is exactly how the ordinary Malays think. This is their history, this is their background. You have to understand their fears and insecurities. Don’t be stubborn and think that, just because you were born in Malaysia, you belong here. No. Staying in one place and dealing with bullshit you’re powerless to fight against isn’t smart — this isn’t what our forefathers would have done. Our forefathers would have sailed the high seas and scaled mountains to look for a better land at all costs. Unfortunately, we have become lazy and complacent, in the name of patriotism and misguided sense of belonging.
“You tak suka, you keluar” is a line of thought that is ultimately for our own good, as bitter a pill as it is to swallow. That’s what driven our forefathers in the past, and look how prosperous they became when they finally keluar-ed. And China was REALLY their home. We’ve been in Malaysia for, what, 3-4 generations maximum? We can certainly keluar and make it.
Jimmy Choo, James Wan, Michelle Yeoh, Fish Leung, Robert Kuok, etc. did it, and so can you. Start dreaming big. Leave Malaysia.
