An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
It has just occurred to me, I am a noble and god-like person, and I should not be ashamed to proclaim it!
Does my sentiment seem utterly arrogant? Yes, perhaps. But I feel I am entitled to think of myself in those terms.
Noble and god-like does not mean I am infalliable, because I am still a human being with human failings.
It does however mean I am in a special class. I have become a giant in own right.
I work hard every day to pay off my debts and support my family. My parents are aged and retired. My father is in need of medical care. I pay for their expenses and fulfil my duty as a filian son. I have been secretly saving money in a bank account specially for their needs. I don't let them know about it as I don't want them to feel that I am doing too much for them.
My mum and dad love me more than anything in the world, I am really owe them my life. I do all this for them with utter selflessness.
In addition, I am extremely helpful toward my friends. I am generous and kind toward them. Even when I am in financial straits myself, when a good friend comes to me, I will die die find ways and means to help him or her. Even if it means going into deep debt myself, I will see if I can manage to provide my valuable assistance.
Not all my help is appreciated. Sometimes my friends will become ungrateful and they will quarrel with me for failing to live up to their high expectations. I don't blame and them and I never become angry at them. I am a man with great mercy and forgiveness in my heart.
Am I at the pinnacle of human moral compassion? Absolutely not. I will never dare to claim this upon myself. But based on my good deeds, my excellent moral compass and my principled stand in life, I dare say I am in a plane of my own. Am I higher and superior to my fellow men? No, I am not. I am one of you. I am as riddled with faults and deficits of character as each of you.
But I am a unique individual who has found goodness and godliness within myself. And I humbly offer myself to the world, as a valuable individual worthy of recognition and acknowledgement.
