Interesting, European brands. I saw some seamless ph on shapings dot com that I might want to try. How's the quality and any particular ones in those brands you go for?

Personally my stash mostly consist of Japanese ph. Feels like my average height is already at their extreme end of the L-LL size spectrum, luckily it still fits ok.

Couple of brands, gunze and atsugi. Tend to go for sheer to waist types. There's this one called mirica from gunze and the '魅' from the astigu series. Feels good on the skin, fits well.

Hi there for Gunze I tend to go for the suntan brown shade as that fits my skintone the best.

For Atsugi's Astigu line, something close would be copper brown.

Rakuten singapore offers the popstation delivery option, that is you pick it up at one of the many locations where those discreet lockers are located. Which is great if you don't want folks to ask you about that package.

I'd say it's not expensive, as Scotts Isetan sell the same thing for almost 100% higher, and buying in person you'd often not come across the shade you want.

It's great that you found one that doesn't slip at the crotch. The so-called large L-LL for Japanese ph should be called barely large enough. Sometimes it gives way at the crotch first.

For those with runs, slight tears, I still wear them at home. It'll be too obvious to go outdoors with runs on the legs :)

Well maybe I should clarify a bit more in detail.

I started this thread with the intention of saying to pantyhose wearing for guys out there that it's ok, there are more wearers out there than you think and you're not alone, and also to share experiences, etc.

I understand there are some who are only into women or their partners wearing and that's OK too.

Just to say I feel this accessory is not just meant for women and we shouldn't see it as limited to women.

Some ladies sat facing me at the airport, but seems like it's quite hard for them to notice I have the hose on. At certain angles though the hose has a bit of sheen, but when viewed directly it's somewhat matt.

Arrived in the morning, walked around the whole day, feels great to be in hose.

Hi there I buy them from Rakuten.com.sg. So it could cost between 6 dollar for the regular ones, and 12-ish for the ones with toes. There is a slightly higher end black tights they offer, and it's about 14 or so.

The "魅" is quite similar to the "肌" just that the 肌 has the reinforced panty part and the 魅 is sheer to waist. So given that you can assume 肌 is more durable. But I just like mine sheer to waist.

Have also tried the black ones though, nothing particularly special. I prefer the skin tone ones.

Have tried "透" but the texture doesn't feel as good as the 肌/魅. While 透 has a lower denier count it is more fragile. So overall, my favourite is still 魅.

I'm still waiting for the one with the toes to come in.

I kind of stopped buying from brick and mortar shops. Often they don't carry the one you're looking for, and might not have the shade too. Imagine a certain type has 7 shades and three sizes, the regular shops won't have space to stock them all.

Just got a pair of seamless and tried it onm. Its really very comfortable without that seam running down the middle.

Its about $30ish ofr a pair and yarn quality is good. Most importantly keep your feet smooth.

The pairs I got is Let's by Kawata; haven't tried it on yet.

Langsha is one of the better PRC brands, but I think local shops here mark it up really alot.

For non-local brands, I have tried some from Taiwan and surprisingly the quality and comfort are amazing; even better than some of the local ones here...smooth yarn, decently durable with proper care.

It's very light and comfortable. It would not sag at crotch area even after wearing the whole day and very durable. The shape and quality of ph is maintain after like 20 plus washing.

UPDATED DETAILED hose report:

Went to a departmental store after a busy day and bought Proped nude tone pantyhose. Got in it at the toilet and walked out bravely; no one was looking at my hosed legs and took a bus to school after walking about 10mins to a bus stop (to gain public exposure confidence). Stood at front of the bus stop nearest to approaching end after walking past a few ladies who didn't notice my hosed legs.

I was a little nervous so I tried standing at less crowded places whenever I can.

Went straight to the library as I have some time before classes. At the traffic lights to school, still feeling a little nervous while waiting for green light but kept my composure. I noticed there were a couple who noticed my hosed legs as I crossed the junction, but I walked on.

Reached classes soon as it began, took the front row seat in a small classroom; went through the lesson normally and left quickly once it ended; as I was a little tired. Boarded a crowded bus that brings me to my regular subway station, a Caucasian lady was standing quite close to me and seemed oblivious to my hosed legs.

At the subway station, I took a less crowded area, but boarded the train at the cabin where I was surrounded by regular commuters, including OLs. The OLs were busily talking, completely oblivious of my hosed legs, but a man with his family was looking at me; he might have noticed I'm in hose but I didn't bother about it. 2 kids were playing with their mum infront of me, without noticing my hosed legs.

When I transited to another line, some teenager boys boarded the train and I could see a couple of them glacing at my hosed legs but I didn't bother. Soon I was home...and made it through this half day in exposed hosed legs!

Went for classes in berms and hose too; "fortunately" my female teacher and classmates didn't notice it...haha...think it's a good experience though.

So it's about 1/2 day in hose today. Shall try a full day to gain confidence next time!

It's best that I wear with socks cos weather here means my feet can get slightly sweaty. Besides it prolongs the life of the hose having an additional layer between the hose and the shoe.

Early out today so l decided to do some pantyhose shopping alsoo to replace thebl torn pair I'm wearing. This should be the Guardian house brand support hose that had served me well for more than 20 wears. I needed a pair as wearing torn pantyhose felt like wearing torn pants.

First stop: Robinson City Hall; found the mini hosiery section on th 2nd floornnear the lingerie section, but couldn't find what I want. Left in less than 5mins after a quick browse.

Went to Centrepoint Metro but couldn't find the hosiery section so I decided to move on to OG. Took a quick look at the hosiery section which can easily be located from the entrance, couldn't find what I want and decided to leave. The middleaged saleslady spotted me leaving, was helpful and asked if I was looking for stockings. I answered, yes but can't find the brand I want. She replied that this is the only brand they carry and i may like to try other departmental stores. Thanked her and moved on.

Off I headed straight to thr hosiery section; less accessible now as they have stuffed some racks closer in to allow more queuing space. Took my own time rummaging through the entire rack of various pantyhose, used the sample hose to find a suitable skintone. There were female staffs, female customers moving up and down but they weren't bothered by me;probably they were all too busy.

Looked through the various pantyhose a final round after spending about 30mins there before I went to pay and continued my way home. The receipt stated this was a one day bazaar but I'm sure there'll be another chance to return and get the colors and brands I want.

If the slippers are more leathery then it should be quite alright; those with soft inner lining, non thong type shouldn't scar the hose and cause runs.

Just slipped into a pair of Funfit Light Support pantyhose in Color 30; feels a little like drugstore house brand hose but the support is decent to soothe the legs after exercises.

Went to Metro at City Square Mall as there was a closing down sale, to stock up on some casual attire (and pantyhose) since it was on the way. Got the following hose:

ProPeds Elegant All Sheer Support Pantyhose Nude x 2 pairs
ProPeds Support Pantyhose Nude x 2 pair packs

Decided to change into the casual attire I got and the Propeds pantyhose I got as the current pair of black pantyhose I'm wearing under work pants has torn at the panty area and getting uncomfortable.

It was that heart beating moment I experienced when I had my first experience last week to classes but I told myself: "why bother about what others may think", and stepped out of the cubicle in pantyhose and berms.

Took the walk through the mall, into the subway station and waited at the platform. I took an empty door as usual and this time, less conscious about who will be looking at my hosed legs and waited for my train. Being a rush hour after work, I stepped into the cabin with ample space (at the same time concerned if some careless folk will cause a run at my hosed legs) and just kept myself busy on the phone (afterall it's the only thing to do in public transport when alone).

Train arrived at my stop and took my time to walk up, without bothering who's going to look at my hosed legs; from the corner of my eyes, I noticed no one actually bothers to look and are just making their way to wherever their destination is, or waiters with companion will just chat with their company.

Took the stairs up from the side to LRT platform since my platform is there. When I arrived at the crowded platform, I could see OLs who are also waiting for the train, and are also not bothered looking at my hosed legs. Boarded the LRT when it arrived, reached my destination and just walked on casually, tapping my way out at exit.

When I was arriving at my lift lobby, I was a little concerned if neighbours would spot me in hose; no one else was waiting and it a while before the lift descended from the 10th floor. Neither anyone was waiting nor anyone was exiting from the lift; took my ride up, and reached home.

Thanks for the report! I feel that people just don't notice much. Sometimes it's just in our heads, maybe feeling more conscious when out in hose.

Btw I noticed the Nude color appear quite light under strong light ie MRT/LRT's cabin white light; but it appeared closest to my skin tone when I was using the sample hose colors at shops to try out; that was why I selected this shade.

Do you take something a shade or two darker than your skin tone to guard against this?

Early morning Outdoor Hose Report:

One of the moments where an early grocer visit was needed since bread ran out at home; woke up earlier than usual so that I had time to choose the pantyhose I wanted to go with for this morning trip. Fortunately there's a 24 hour store nearby for such times, so I might as well take this chance to wear it out.

Decided and slipped into a pair of Propeds Elegant Sheer Support, Nude color with berms, no show socks with regular walking shoes and headed down. Walked past a domestic maid who didn't notice my hosed legs, then past a couple of men who were at the dropoff area near my place; didn't notice if they saw my hosed legs. Passed a resident (elderly man) at lift landing of an adjacent block who should be heading off for early shift work; he didn't notice me either.

After passing a few car headlight beams and a few more people, I reached my grocer. The lady was manning the place alone and busy packing some stuff near the cashier she is also manning; got what I needed and made my way back.

At my lift landing, saw an elderly man in the lift that I needed; was wondering if he will notice my hosed legs; but when the liftdoor opened, he exited, I entered; nothing.

Reached home.

Makes sense...it could be also possibly my hand is less tan than my legs, though color looks right when I at samoling to determine right skin tone.

This pair I'm wearing now has a little sheen; comparing the yarn to that of Elegant Sheers, its less closely weaved; probably that's why it feels thinner though both are 20 denier.

Class day and ended work as usual with ample time for dinner, homework and hose replenishment. Since Nude tone was too pale after a couple of examination under white light, I decided to get a darker, and closest possible shade to my skintone.

After a quick dinner, went to BHG which was near my school, this is the 2nd 3rd time I'm using the samples, slipped my hands into the various tomes such as Silk Beige and Beige; this time, I made sure the light wasn't blocked by own shadow(possibly why I didn't get the right shade the last time round) and chose carefully. There were female customers and staff walking past me, but they didn't bother about me (ears still having a little of that awkward warmth that faded off as time goes by). The suitable color turned out be beige, so I got the following:

Went to the library's toilet to change into casuals with berms before heading down to the study area. As the hose wrapped over my legs, the first sight told me it was the right color. Done with changing, headed to the study area and did my revision. As the desks were all ocupied, I had to take the couch that doesn't have proper support for writing, so that'll be the best exposed challenge.

As I was doing my work, I noticed that this pair of hose is a little shiny at steep angles which could be seen at close proximity. However, many walked past me without noticing(or at least to my awareness). While I walked into this area right in the corner, I tried evading some close proximity library users but later realized none of them were looking at my hosed legs, so I should just walk normally past these people.

After revision, I headed for classes; spotted a classmate infront of me so I carefully walked behind her; she was going to the ladies on1st floor so I went up to class at 2nd floor, entered classroom, sat at the first row. Teacher did not notice my hosed legs.

Favourite female classmate came later than me and sat beside me as usual...was a little concerned when she looked below table where her bag is to retrieve study materials and she didn't notice my hosed legs. Classes went on as usual, was the last to exit class and went to my usual busstop. Boarded my bus, transited at my usual subway station. No one took note of my legs.

Waited at my regular subway door(no more trying to take the farthest door to avoid detection), an OL and Indian lady came later to joij in the wait. Boarded a pretty populated train and stood near the door where a guu had his bulky bag near my feet. He alighted a few stations later, picking his bag right at my feet but didn't bother looking at my feet.

When I reached the transit station to LRT, I decided to take the central and most crowded escalator (confidence subcourse), walked past a man; he might be looking at my hosed legs when I had to stop due to those infront stopping.

Made it to the LRT, stood at door area facing a big group of commuters waiting for the alternating train. I wasn't bothered if they're looking at my hosed legs.

Reached my station, walked back to block, no one were spotted, home James.

Just an observation. Once I found the right hose that I like - the smoothness, the right matt-ness, and type (sheer to waist), I tend to stick to that brand and type.

So whenever I can stock up more of it, I would do so, rather than trying a different brand/type of hose.

Hi all...i have been refraining from posting in sbf. I have posted a few msgs long time back in another thread, but realised there are significant differences among all in our appreciation of pantyhose.

For me, i have been wearing stockings (took my moms knee hi) since primary 6...proceeded to pantyhose in secondary school when i discovered that full pantyhose is so much more shiok to wear.

I admit it gives me a sensual feeling...and even makes me feel feminine (fairly often) till now. I wear pantyhose qute often, almost daily. I wear black opaques (80den above) under work pants to office daily. I will pair nude/suntan hose with berms and shorts on weekends.

Post the movie, headed to a library. Along the way I passed by quite a number of people, and since it's still quite bright, a keen eye should be able to spot my hose.

Went back to the mall for dinner and headed home, rather uneventful.

When I sit down the folded berms rise to half thigh. A good compromise between jogging and unfolded. Have you tried folding the berms up a little?

Not yet but I wore a pair of berms above knee before. I could try later but skin on legs are feeling rashy now; probably due to poor breathability of the drugstore I wore under pants for work. It's in the trashcan now as it has wornout yarn area and some runs.

Surprisingly they're pretty durable; wear count should be more than 25, but less than 50.

Wanted to go out in berms and hose earlier but was occupied, but eventually got out of the house for a grocery run. Since I have been to the grocer's nearby, today's venture will be at the bigger store at the other side of the road.

Slipped into the L-LL size of the Propeds Elegant All Sheer Support Pantyhose in Beige, put on my no show socks and loafers since I didn't properly "expose" these hosed legs at the last 2 outdoor experiences, I shall keep the footwear minimal and comfortable. Wore a pair of above knee berms to maximise this.

Took the lift down, walked past a sheltered MPH, pass a man and woman (OL heading home after work) who didn't notice it though there were lamps lighting the pavement. Crossed the traffic light with car headlamps shining directly at my hosed legs as I walked on (no, this time I didn't try to look busy), took the busiest escalator down to the grocer's at basement. Walked casually around with quite a handful of shoppers around in the bright store. Before reaching the cashier, I deliberately weaved through a mother who was pushing trolley of purchases and went ahead to make my payment. Passed the "roadshow" booth outside the grocer's, a man in shirt and pants, and took the travelator.

When I reached my block's lobby, a guy was also waiting for the lift; I decided to stand behind him as I still had a little worry about him noticing it (unavoidable when we enter the lift). Soon, the lift came; I pressed my level and he got his, at the corner of my eye, noticed he probably took a glance without bothering much. Soon, he was out at his level and I had the lift all to myself till my level.

A grocery run for the weekend. Though I was up at 4am, only went to the grocer when the sun was up and a more regular hour. This was planned to gain outdoor confidence.

After getting some work done till the sun was up, I slipped into my Propeds Elegant All Sheer Pantyhose in Beige, along with above knee length berms, no show socks and loafers along with a singlet.

Took the lift down and it stopped at several floors; first, a couple entered, then a dog lover with his pet. I was located at the rear of the lift where my hosed feet could be seen full view when the lift opens. As the lift descended, I noticed the lady was looking somewhat in my direction through the corner of my eye; she might be looking at her phone or the dog but no matter.

The couple were the first to exit at the carpark level, leaving me with the guy and his dog. As he commanded his dog to sit properly, which it did, he was bending forward to touch his dog right in front me as his right faced the lift doors; this was also a prominent position for him to spot my hosed legs but he didn't.

When the lift reached the first floor, I took the route passing letterboxes which was more popular, instead of routing to the back. Passed the regular shelter, saw a few neighbours walking to and fro but no one noticed. I took the shortcut across the road as there were no cars, landed at the other side of the road; cars and pedestrians could be seen along here but from what I see, no one were looking at my hosed legs so far; passed an eatery before I entered the mall; which was a crowded place, still no one noticing.

As it was a weekend replenishment, I spent more time at the supermart. Grabbed what I needed after walking past several areas in the supermart, of some were crowded with people but I just stood there and got what I got. While going around, I saw the working staff grouped and briefed by their supervisor. One of the ladies is in nude tone pantyhose and I walked past them, hosed legs unnoticed. After getting what I needed, I went to a place to pack my items before payment, also where it wasn't isolated and crowded. Saw the same supermart lady in pantyhose walking past me as I made my way to the cashier again; so far no unusual glances.

After I was done, took the more crowded escalator up; although there were not many people in the mall at this hour, many could be seen walking around. Interesting, most people are just not noticing. Hose is just so uncommon in SG that when worn in the right colour to match the skin tone it's very hard to notice.

Was in the queue for about 15 minutes before going in. Nothing unusual, but walked past a good looking filipino lady who's also in tan hose. Kidnd of wished more young women would wear hose like her too.

EDIT: later in the evening decided to chill at a comfortable bench downstairs. Wearing jogging shorts instead of berms... It's somewhat dark, there's no way people would notice the hose on.

Quick hose report - to be updated later.

Wearing hose again today under long pants, headed out to meet a female friend. Would be folding up the pants slightly.

So met my friend for lunch and we went for coffee. Ankle was exposed when I sat. Don't think she noticed it.

Might change to berms later if there's an opportunity.

Now I'm chilling downstairs on a public bench by the playground in the cool evening air. Am in the same hose and wearing jogging shorts with it. Don't think anyone will walk past and even if they do, it's a little too dark for them to see the hose.

Outdoor Hose Report (complete)

Off work earlier as usual; hence I went to the nearby foodcourt's Gent's to change into casual wear so as to avoid being spotted by colleagues who finish around my timing.

Time to decommission another pair of black drugstore housebrand hose which has served me well for almost 20 wears which I wear under workpants. Decided to show more hosed legs today by wearing a low back loafers and no-show socks. Slipped into my favourite Propeds Elegant All Sheers Support Pantyhose, Beige along with above knee berms and walked out after getting that "heaty face sensation" off.

Walked across the library, passing walking pedestrians and those sitting at benches outside sheltered area and waited at the traffic light to my restocking zone. Did a quick visual scan across and got busy on my phone; no one spotted my hosed legs. Once lights turn green, I moved across with normal pace, passing young teriary girls, boys, working class and subsequently some diners seated at restaurants just along the walkway, right into the mall without anyone spotting my hosed legs.

Took the escalator up; this time I decided not to walk up quickly but allowed it to bring me to the next level. There were OLs behind me who could immediately spot my hosed legs but it didn't bother me. Went on to my regular store to stock up more of these hose I'm wearing since it's already a "spot on" style and color to my preference; didn't spend alot of time at the hosiery section as I already knew what I needed so it was a quick pick and go. At the cashier, there was an elderly family but none of them were bothered spotting my hosed legs.

After paying (served by a sweet looking girl who appears to be a tertiary student), I walked past the main areas where female sales promoters could be seen before exiting the store; slow strolls to the escalator down to run some errands before taking the subway; queued behind a Malay couple while the lady was facing me as her partner was using the machine; there was another OL queuing for other ATMs beside me, at a distance where my legs could be seen in full view. When both were done, none of them noticed my legs and so I did my stuff and headed for the subway.

Walked through the interchange, climbing stairs without hurrying in worry to be spotted in hosed legs, I did another visual scan around me quickly as I walked up to the platform. Not the least uncrowded but I wasn't bothered and went to my usual gate. While I was waiting for the train, I noticed a middle aged OL on the other side looking in my direction; she could be looking at my hosed legs but no matter.

During the trainride, visual scanned randomly and noticed no one was looking at my legs; not even the OLs sitting at the door seats facing me as I was standing at the inactive door side. I chose this position as it was in full view of anyone who walked in to gain confidence. As train was reaching my destination, walked nearer to door, stood in the middle section near the grab poles (an even more full view position) till the doors opened.

Walked naturally out, took my time walking up the "express" side of the escalator as it was a long way up at the transit station, reaching the LRT platform. During the train ride, there was a middle-aged man standing facing me where he could see my hosed legs but I noticed he wasn't bothered. Upon exiting, walked pass an OL (I noticed yarn color made my legs look a little tan under the warm lighting), passed the exit gates and crossing roads, other pedestrians who were completely oblivious to my hosed legs.

Took my time to open mailbox and got a vacant lift ready, home James.

Quick hose report.

Have just put on my favourite Gunze Mirica sheer to waist. Headed out to a mall for a walk and some food.

Sat at a rather bright food court. The fluorescent lights behind me is making the hose look strangely pinkish. Under the strong light the matt look of the hose makes the legs look strangely smooth. I think some angmo might have saw it. But heck, I'm just here to eat.

After dinner, went to buy ticket for a movie. Had some patrons behind me in the queue, nothing out of the ordinary. There was a pantyhose scene in the movie. It's the Legends movie just in case you are wondering.

After the movie, hardly anyone on the street. A young lady was walking behind me and walked past another lady. I guess the lighting might be too dark for the hose to show.

Walked home in the cool evening air.

Another lesson day of the week; weather had been cooling by the time I got off from work to get ready to refuel for the evening. Decided to take a step further this time to gain hose experience by going to have dinner with exposed hosed legs.

Went to the nearest food court's Gent's for casual change, and slipped on my favourite Propeds Elegant All Sheer Support Pantyhose in Beige, along with an above knee berms, no show socks and low back loafers. Took the busier pavement of the side nearer to my usual dining area where there are more pedestrians around. Since traffic light wasn't ready, I had to wait at the junction with full view of hosed legs. I didn't take the path which passes a beautician where the girls (sometimes in opaques or sheer hose) can be seen distributing flyers outside at certain hours; shall leave this to the next round. I deliberately passed a taxi stand where a handful of commuters were waiting, a hosed OL in black pantyhose puffing away with her companion before I reached the traffic lights heading to my dining area.

Ordered my food, had my dinner (hosed legs in full view despite the familiar faces of the workers there) and made my way to library for some revision before classes. From the journey after slipping into hose and berms, I took random visual scans around, walking naturally and noticed no one actually looked at my hosed legs. During mealtime, I saw a bunch of male office workers seated beside me in a group dining; as I was done, I picked up my stuff, walked confidently pass them, passed working staff and a crowded traffic crossing where I came from.

Soon, I was in the library revising. I chose a bench seat as the couches are more comfortable than high tablechair sets. As I sat the edge of berms slided to half thigh, exposing my hosed legs more. Librarians, library patrons walked past me and I wasn't bothered whether they will be looking at my hosed legs as I continue with my revision.

As I was about to go for classes, a big sized guy plonked himself on the same bench as me, flipping his book and muttered to himself in exclamation; I could make out things like "...first time.." in his spoken dialect; he may be looking in my direction and commenting about his "visual surprise" but I didn't bother.
Entered class as usual, went through lesson smoothly while hosed legs could be seen peeping back at me from below my own table area; my favourite classmate still didn't notice though we were sitting near in the small classroom. Last to leave the class, noticing if my teacher spotted it but she didn't, moved out with other departing students and towards the subway interchange. Passed a pub restaurant where many Caucasian patrons were seated near the walkway to the mall.

Didn't want to hurry though there was train leaving, hence that gave me additional exposure time till the next train arrived. As I was waiting, I noticed an OL facing me, 3 gates ahead of me and possibly spotted my hosed legs but I wasn't bothered.

Boarded a pretty empty train to transit and stood near the grabpole, across the transit station and then a crowded train homebound. No one in the train bothered to look (based on my surveillance intel). As I was reaching the transit station at my hometown, a lady took the empty seat infront of me where my hosed legs are at full view (she was glued to her phone), while a man, alighting, seemingly took glances at my hosed legs.

Caught the sight of a lady seated at the corner through glass reflection, and noticed she was looking at my hosed legs direction. Didnt bother and once again, took the central area as train was reaching my station. Ascended the crowded central escalator to LRT platform and got stuck at the express lane due to the commuting crowd. That gave me some time of exposure and I heard a PRC lady behind me talking about "pantyhose looking odd", probably at the sight of my hosed legs.

Entered the LRT and took stand near the exit door. Despite having hosed legs at full view of a few lady passengers, none of them were looking.

Took a regular paced walk from LRT, passing pedestrian walkways without attracting weird glances, and home James.
