There are lesser things to find fault with the opposition parties for the simple reason that they are not the government yet. That’s why newly elected government/leader’s popularity goes down when the “honeymoon” is over with the electorate.
Can a change of government or a weaken government able to bring down the cost of living when we import most of what we need? Would investors put more money into Singapore just because more opposition are into parliament? Or would more businesses set up shops here to give good jobs and pay to Singaporeans because the PAP is no longer dominant? Their bottom line is to make money, not to do charity, for goodness sake.
Do having large opposition representation in parliament makes the government work harder or harder to work? As evidence in other countries, it’s inevitable at some point, gridlock is the order of the day. Then, that's when the country really start to wanes.
