walk along the rd of geylang n found a internet / cybernet cafe, wif bright sign board, comfirm is more then meet the eyes, wonder anyone went before n wat is the charge?

u mean the main road or GL18 there? main rd there's one former TN turned cybercafe (is this the one u referring to?) n also another bona fide 2nd storey cheap cybercafe near GL14.

i oso saw this cyber cafe few days ago... i tink its jus those usual normal cyber cafe la nt those dirty ones as in we saw in HK lor

charges are 5 bucks an hour.....they are not so interested in making your money from net surfing.....more interested in cyber casino:)

Actually, I thought of such an idea a long time ago, just didn't have the capital to set it up :D
I believe they are not the seedy type, nor are they really targetting the locals. They are just targetting the PRC FLs who wish to use their QQ (chinese ICQ equivilent). That's why most of the cybercafes there have QQ somewhere on their signboard, some even have it as part of their shop name!
5 bucks is a little crazy (considering that in town, prices can go as low as a dollar an hour, and that includes games!), but one has to pay for convinence I guess. And who knows, it might be a new hideout from the police!

ya today went there and saw 2 cyber cafe was so suprise but it a gd idea too:D

the main road one on 2nd storey no hanky panky lah. quite reasonable charges. definitely not $5 as i remember

i endorse tis cybercafe man....i think its my gd luck charm...on world cup final i was there n logging on to asianbookie.com n the uncle tell me eh brother i give u better site...i was like huh? knn he give me a gd website which actually changed my bet frm france to italy....gonna camp here for next betting season when EPL get back into action...

the cafe is very smoking, and very dangerous , have to be careful when u are there ,cause easy kenna raid :eek:
