SINGAPORE: The September issue of Singapore FHM is its last, publisher MediaCorp announced on Monday (Aug 31).

The most recent issue, released Aug 26, featured actress Jae Liew on its cover. She is currently starring in long-running local drama Tanglin, which airs on Channel 5.

“Closing a title is never easy, but the media world is constantly evolving and the media-consumption habits of men have changed over the years. We thank our Singapore FHM readers for their support in the last 10 years,” said Ms Jessie Sng, Head of Men, Women and Parents Customer Group at MediaCorp.

With the cessation of Singapore FHM, MediaCorp will now focus its resources on new men's segment projects that are "relevant in this ever-changing landscape", the company said.

With SBF who needs that kind of mag? The internet done a number on it. Mag needs two things :

Readership and adverts. FHM does not have both. Content wise it doesn't have anything to keep the readers. Gimmicks don't sell no more. It won't be missed.

Just like Rediffusion, last time my grandparents used to listen to it, and I enjoy listen to famous Cantonese storyteller, Li Da Sha, telling story. Heard once time going to close down, then later turn it into digital radio broadcasting to salvage its business, to keep up with the society & attract young listener;)
