My wishlist:

Cheap very cheap like $99,000
2 bedroom with a storeroom
Storeroom convert to a sex slave room ( kidding)
Master bedroom with boy toys and gadgets
Second room for entertainment n lots of fish tanks wall to wall.
Living room - Spartan. Empty nothing. Konsong.
Kitchen - empty too .. Just eat out and order in.

Is this too much to ask ?

Nothing wrong with the seller asking for whatever price he wants.

But whether will it sell is another problem.

Good luck to the agent.

Good answer. Seller asking, buyer willing. If there is anyone willing to buy, there will be sellers.

What is your source for these figures? Are they the median cost of a new 3 room flat? Or are they the cost of the cheapest new 3 room flat on the market? Are your figures before or after grants and subsidies?

These idiots got it so wrong.

Hdb is public housing. Which means it muz b affordable for all. If some idiot want to pay 1 million for it, then he's stupid.

The gov should keep flats cheap n they can cos the land is owned by them.

Even If private property is high, n economy is gd, hdb prices can increase bt gov can keep prices under control. Paying 100000 plus for new flats is Absurd.

And no. A resale flat for few hundred k is nt a nest egg bt property mkt gone wild n its nt sustainable or desired

Let me highlight a few points.

1. HDB set price according to market prices and not base on cost of materials.
2. Only a few property agents are the one speculating high prices in HDB second value market.
3. Who owns the land? Is the state correct? Who owns the state? Is the citizen correct? So why are we been charged high prices for using the land?
4. We only have around 3.5mil citizens. Who are the property market buyers in the past 5 to 10 years? How come keep building private and HDB flats? Who is buying them? When citizens upgrade then who is buying up the old flats? Do you know that many like me are not involved in all these property markets?
