The latest casualty in Bangkok's recent string of nightlife closures is Live RCA, one of Bangkok's biggest venues for fans of indie music and niche DJs.

The venue confirmed directly to us that they will close at the end of June. "The rent is simply too high," says the venue's management. "We can't make enough to cover the costs."

However, the closure of the nightclub, which only used to operate on nights when they held events, does not mean the end for the Live name as a Bangkok party organizer.

"We will continue with our shows in other venues," they said. "We as a team are not going to stop doing our events."

The venue was established in April 2015 and quickly became a home for local promoters and gig organizers to put on events.

The space has hosted many indie international artists including Neon Indian, Bondax, Kartell, Darius, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Crystal castles.

Though dates are currently unannouced, Live as a party organizer has some interesting names lined up for the future. Parisian electro DJ FKJ, British singer-songwriter Lucy Rose, and Berlin-based DJ Claptone are all confirmed, though dates and venues have yet to be announced.

First of all can you speak their language? There's many KTVs situated outskirt of Bangkok, which mostly for the Thais. Foreigners coming to Bangkok tends to go to G club, similar concept to KTV, but it's pricey, some of G club has girls which able to speak some simple English but not for the KTV. :D

If you are sick with ONYX/SCD, then come out your comfort zone, try discos along the Thong lo Road.;)

It's not like China KTVs which you're accustomed to.
So don't anyhow listen to people who talk cock say up to your skills. :D

Yes it can be done but you need to have some reliable sales rep or very good luck to bring back hostess with a price of course.
And it can be free also but don't count on it on first visit.

If you want to bao jiak better go to Agogo Bars to dabao and drinks spending not so xiong also.
You'll save a lot of unwarranted disappointments especially if you want to show your friends a good time.
Let's say you have a group of 4 guys and only 1 or 2 guys managed to dabao.
What fun is there for the rest of the guys?
Those who cheong China KTVs many times before will know the unspoken rule is one for all and all for one. :D

In general G-Club outing is mainly for clean (if me can be from clean to humsup. PR always complain to my sales rep) fun and drinking. :)

Police officers are prohibited from being involved either directly or indirectly in alcohol and night-entertainment businesses, police deputy spokesman Krisana Pattanacharoen confirmed on Monday.

At the order of Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, as National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) chief, police had recently begun strict checks on night entertainment venues, especially booze-selling venues near educational institutes/schools.

The order also requires that police refrain from any involvement with such businesses, Krisana said.

The authorities have detailed knowledge of these businesses in each police jurisdictions, so any officers ignoring the regulations would face punishments as per policing regulation number 234/2558, he added.

Krisana’s comment was in response to people’s criticism about some police having interests, including holding shares, in night-entertainment businesses.

@le0rio: I guess I will tip 500฿. How big are the bottles? 750ml? I was only planning to go to G-clubs 2 times, so small bottles should be ok. If the girls drink all my liquor, that's ok too. From 19-26 go party 4 days a week at Asian parties, American clubs, and Korean clubs. I am 41 now. Work hard all year and go to Asia for 3-4 weeks in December to enjoy casually and safely...

There is no need for me to get that market share of pathetic USD50 booking tables fees and my own business is totally not related to all of this. For us we just want to have fun in Bkk and simple as that and yet there is some loser just because have been exposed before that is stealth agent and hold a grudge till today by doing a silly things such as impersonate other people identity and doing all the silly nonsense thing. As I mentioned before, I used to work the club scene when I was very young. I am very familiar with everything about the scene and careful in how I play. For example when I did 3 weeks in Asia last December, I was partying in Tokyo at the Tokyo Pub Crawl event. Toward the end of the event I was pretty drunk and one of the guys who was helping out there whispered to me that he can get me access to a special underground club for ‎¥7,000 with really hot Japanese strippers. I can afford that and who would not want to be with hot Japanese strippers?!? Did I go? Even though I was drunk, I said no thank you because I am still aware what is up. I'm not a virgin looking to touch titty for the first time who lets his lil brother do the thinking...haha..

I think the table booking fee is ok. It's a promotion and service which i also used to do to make money. People pay it because some don't care to plan the logistics to attend an event and others have a lot of money to pay others to take care of the logistics of the night for them like VIP treatment. It's just not something I would do though despite being able to afford it....

That casual mention about meeting up was whatever. Just go out and have a beer and bullshit about life. I have no intentions of playing dailo (big brother) and covering a G-club bill for a gang of sailos (little brothers). You do that dumb shit when you're like 18...haha.
