An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
The lesbian author writes that her two nieces, 1 in Singapore and 1 in Netherlands, wrote a nearly identical essay, describing how they were inspired by the inner strength of their lesbian aunt (ie. the article author), and the Netherlands teacher gave the essay an A grade, while the Singapore teacher gave the essay an F grade "because homosexuality is wrong in Singapore".
As I did not ask the author's permission to reproduce her article, please visit any of the links below to read it. It's worth a read, whether or not you care about the education industry, or whether you're pro-LGBT, anti-LGBT, or even if don't give a damn either way.
