It's about time that the legal systems all over the world started punishing parents' for the actions of their underage children and punishing adult children for the actions of their parents.

In the recent slashing case at ITE, the mother of the teenage slasher was not only unapologetic for her son's actions, she actually mocked the slashed teenager for being older than her son and running away. We have heard that the two teenagers had a conflict over a female schoolmate. While we don't know all the details of what happened and who started the confrontation, it seems that both mother and slasher son still don't realise that it's wrong to go after someone with a sharp object, regardless what led to the conflict. In this case, if the son is too young to be severely punished under the legal system, perhaps it's time for our legal systems to impose some sort of punishment on the recalcitrant parents.

Similarly, there should be some sort of punishment for the recalcitrant adult children of elderly people who behave like shit.
